Customer from Serbia delivered it to our LAB and we discovered complete BMS defect and cells depleated to 0.1V.

Great Video! Is there a reset junction on the BMS board? How did you "Erased manually by directly connecting to the processer?"

I have the same, 2 years old 23k km, runs fine. Charging from 3 phase, as it is halfway a Renault Zoe. Do you have any recommendation for a non defective user to have more fun together not the stress? Thank you!

So Vanja I guess that the BMS is the Problem for most of the errors on Smart EQ. Change the BMS to another Customer is not possible ?! My Smart has 3600 km run. On Smart Emotion is a tool available to see the state of the Battery. You said the difference between the cells have to max 0,1 volts. So of I check the battery drift between the cells and it's to high I will go to Zagreb. See you 😊

From 2022 , smart batteries come with 8 years warranty and are covered up to 100,000km according to their website

Not in all countries. And warranty not applied in 20x different cases. All of 50 453 where we repaired battery, they been rejected for warranty

My Smart Fortwo Electric drive has just gone into Mercedes and they claim the HV Control Unit needs replacing at a cost of £4500, however I cannot find much information on this part. Is this part located within the battery pack? I feel like I am being had over because all I have done is plug the car in and used it as I should.

Car is crap engineering beyond imagination. When anything fails they change complete electric motor powertrain. Thats why it costs so much. Car was mode to be unserviceable…. but we can solve it cheaper

You fix the programmed defect by resetting the counter to 0 in eeprom, but will it happen again in the future?

Yes, it will. That is how they designed it, not me.

Better reliability is on 451ED and we produce new battery pack for them. Check “VALHALA project” on our page.

I just bought a new 453 and just ran into your videos... scarry. Do facelift 2023 models have the same rate of defects?
