i think ballistas get a bit of a bad rep but i think they're are actually decent at what they are supposed to do, yes they lack the punch and AoE of the shocker and/or the speed of the swift shocker (which would be very OP if it had both :O ) but imo they make up for that with a fair rate fire where i think they are tied with the RoF of the swiftshocker as for beetles ... yes they lack an ability ... and not every unit imho has to have an ability ... in fact just because the missilebot has overclock doesn't make it interesting to me ... also differently to the missilebot, hunter and hornet (which are primamirlyAA) the beetle is supposed to be a "versatile" unit as in being usefull against both air and ground the biggest issue with it is its low RoF but i think it still has a generally fair punch ... still i think it could either do with a slight RoF increase or slight increase in alpha damage against ground artillery is an almost definite pick IF you run a burstheavy foundry line up such like king crab/crusader+destroyer+ sniper/advanced blink/assault bot or behemoth it would be the option you'd usually pick in any form in the foundry and is a lighter armored but more mobile variant of the mortar
