Doto bricking in his first duel is peak Joey performance.

Doto's mistake in first duel: Saving scapegoat until after he got hit. This failure in stalling led to his defeat via burn damage. Doto's mistake in second duel: He at no point noticed Rhyme was unable to attack, allowing for a risky play like using his mirror monster to copy the 3000DEF and use it as a wall until something worked.

Gilford was probably his only out to Metal Reflect Slime in duel 2. By the time he finally got to Giant Trunade Rhyme would have likely made other plays.

@@ShadicRothZz1998 Considering the equip cards he has, yeah Gilford could have done it. Hell, he'd been better off summoning Gilford as soon as he could instead of mindlessly stacking more monsters, which sealed his fate. That way he'd have a big monster who beat up any small thing Rhyme needed to put on the field until he got something. An equip card, attack/defense, anything.

i don't think the second one is a mistake bcs doto try to summon gilford with 3 tribute to out the MRS so either way he is lose bcs ryme burn is insane in this format

@@MaxedEntropy He was banking on rhyme not having sphere mode. Everyone, including him, knows you don't do that with a Ra player, otherwise you've set yourself up for exactly what happened to Doto. Instead of stalling he chose to shoot for the easy out, which cost him the duel. Since he can only normal summon. He should have just tributes the two monsters. Even red eyes was better than setting his Copycat. xD

If anyone is still curious, Scapegoat's Tokens cannot be used as tribute for a Tribute Summon, but they can be tribute for anything else (like Panther Warrior's attack cost). Lava Golem's Summon to the opponent field is a Special Summon, it does eat up your Normal Summon do to his effect, but this distinction allows you to tribute Scapegoat's Tokens.

I know they're prebuilt decks, but Marik should have a copy of Egyptian God slime. He used that in the duel against Yami Yugi, so it doesn't make sense that an anime deck from Battle city doesn't have it. At the end of the day though, great duels!

Mf already got meta cards in sphere mode. God slimes too would be an insta roll. Imagine one trap card turning into Blue eyes. "The decks are all gonna be from 2006, except Marik, who's getting a 2020 Ra deck."

Doto, you CAN tribute Scapegoats for Panther Warrior's attack, you just cannot tribute them for summons.

Scapegoat tokens Cannot be tributed for a tribute summon ONLY. You can use them for ritual, kaiju summon, fusion Synchro and link plays and can be tributed by card effect like a virus trap under lair of darkness. The tokens are NOT untributeable, they just CANNOT be tributed to normal summon a monster.

the only reason lava golem worked with the tokens is because it says the tokens can't be used for a "tribute" summon but lava golem is counted as a special summon therefore you can tribute the tokens because of it

Lava Golem is a special summon not a tribute summon. If you notice, you couldn’t summon Sphere Mode by tributing the sheep but you could lava golem.

Isn't Lava Golem a cost rather than a tribute? So you can use the tokens. It's why you couldn't summon the Sphere mode since that counted as tributed rather than being the cost.

That was an option, though he was going for the 3 tribute effect, which given his next cards, only really kunai with chain did anything against metal reflect slime with Gilford.
