Yeah, I feel like the ships touching rule is obscure; I've never once heard of this rule in all my life.

​@@Iluvpie6 From the official rule book from Hasbro: "Do not place a ship so that any part of it overlaps letters, numbers, the edge of the grid or another ship" The wording isn't great since someone could argue that touching counts as overlapping, but they also have a sample image of a "correct" setup in the instruction book where ships are placed directly adjacent to each other with no gaps. So I would say it's not cheating. It's a very risky strategy though that depends on your opponent not discovering your pattern until it's too late. It only works if the opponent doesn't expect it and their guessing pattern doesn't check the corners. A less risky alternative would be to have 1 or more of your smaller ships away from the cluster, so if the opponent finds the cluster early you still have a chance.

I'm probably in the minority but I find 'nonswearing' actually funnier - like when the subtitles said son of a BOAT when Dan said b**ch, I think it would've been funnier if he'd said boat (and on theme, lol).
