She is the best in the world and she gives all she has when she runs she is something special in the 200m maybe she will work on relaxation she put a lot of pressure on herself every time she races slow it down a bit just in some races learn to listen to your body the record will come you have to take very good care of yourself I think that’s what happened to Bolt he gave the world all he had he didn’t know how or when to slow it down you can’t listen to the ppl especially the Jamaica ppl they demand so much it’t win baby win every race remember no one can take care of you like you can

Last year, 200m was Shericka Jackson vs Shericka Jackson. If we are lucky this year, it will be Shericka Jackson vs Elaine Thompson, and Shericka will break 21.34

In 11 200m races in '23, Shericka only got a tailwind > +0.9m/s once! Wish she had a tailwind of at least +1.5m/s in Budapest when she won in 21.41 (0.1) to help break that 21.34 WR. Would've taken the pressure off trying to break it in the Olympic Year while trying to win her first individual Olympic Gold Medals! Good to see Neita take the 200m more seriously and make an almost 0.5s improvement on her PB.

Shericka will have competition this year, when Elaine fires up for her third Olympic golds. Also, Gabby and Sha'Carri have unfinished business in the build-up to the US Trials. And Julien Alfred is getting faster and faster.

@@johnsonanum Shericka will be aiming for the world record this year . She has ran sub 21.5 three times now and I don't see anyone coming near those times anytime soon

@@alomajaolayemi3920 Yes, I believe Shericka will break the 200m record this year (at some point she will get a good tailwind like the one Flo-Jo had) and she's the strongest contender for Olympic gold. But let's not write off Elaine Thompson - she always performs well at Olympics, she's the 3rd fastest woman over 200m, and when she's healthy, it's very very very hard to beat her.
