The ones I consider really "Legendary" are Mewtwo (since it's a single creature instead of an species), Ho-oh, The ancient trio of hoenn. Anything else in the future is metaphysical embodiment of some concept because they ran out of ideas

its.. ceremonial. you can hear the people watching you beating on drums to the battle. it makes ho ohs presence as a legendary feel equal to that of the creation trio

This glorious theme with Ho-Oh atop the bell tower in Heart Gold remains in my heart as my personal moment in Pokémon history I'm not memeing, I'm being completely serious here... This dazzling phoenix is like God himself sent him down to our realm to truly test our loyalty with the friends you have been through so much with no barriers to how you do it.. Now the true question still remains... What do you do with your only chance? Fight with your strength or your wisdom? Thank you Zame for remaking this glorious test of loyalty with this remaster! You did this theme justice, very nice remaster that didn't detract from the original. The shamisen & Bass combo is very jumbled, and makes it very fun to listen to. Ho-Oh feels super majestive & festive and I can see totally the Kimono Girls dancing a performance to it!

I wish someone would animate Gold's pokémon vs Ho-Oh with this version! I love this remaster, it truly captures the mystique of this pokémon in a stunning way. The rainbow wing, proof of being the one chosen by Ho-Oh. The climb through the temple infested with Rattata and Raticate. The summit where everything happens: The bells rings, the ritual dance begins and it is summoned... in all its glory and power... the long awaited arrival of the Rainbow Pokémon is upon them. Gold and his pokémon, the dancers and the Eeveelutions witness its presence as it waits for the chosen one... then Gold sends out Typhlosion and the fated fiery battle with Ho-Oh commences! "I sense a potent bond between you and that human. Show me the power of that trust!"
