Shiki doesn't really have the problem the only challenged she ever faced was araya. But that slow development really helped make an impact when shirou proves the viewer and cast wrong when he fights a servant

That's my problem kinda as well. It does not help that most of the battles were won by total deud ex machina (thanks to great gap in power) instead of real efford and use of tatctical thinking

The core of Type-Moon works has always been urban fantasy where everything is not so clear cut. Nothing is absolutely strong power-wise and the sheer disadvantageous in match-up can result in a rock-paper-scissor situation.

Kire should have aimed for head during his battle with Kiritsugu Archer should aimed for head when he tried kill Shirou since as his future self should know about Avalon. And Roa should definetly aim for head when it comes to Shiki instead of letting Frankenstein bail him out of danger. Dont get me wrong I love nasuverse, but let´s be honest battles here are not win because rock-scissors-paper They are win because a) villains f*cks around b) MC has convienetly power to kill them (usually same type of stand) So yeah I rather prefer battles which needs to me win through characters actual effort, wits and intelligence rather than villain being to retarded to kil MC immediately.

UBW has been foreshadowed since his last stand against Berserker in Fate route with Archer being able to pierce through God Hands 9 times, with each needed a completely different A-rank attack. Furthermore, UBW is NOT the same ability as GoB. UBW is a reality marble that acted as a forge for sword and blades or in some very special cases, something like Rho Aias. GoB is far more versatile for it is a vault for all the prototype weapons and treasures in the world. In both numbers, versatility and strengths, GoB outclasses UBW by miles. What made UBW able to counter GoB is because UBW's speed is faster and because as Reality Marble, Shirou can freely summon swords even as he closed in for melee without the need to fire off volleys like GoB. For reasons why Archer didn't just blast a Broken Phantasm into Shirou's house and call it a day was clearly showed in his whole monologue. What he wanted to do is break Shirou's ideal, both as a way of lashing out against his younger self, a sort of tantrum, and by breaking his ideals, caused a paradox that can erase him from the Throne and Alaya's influence as Counter Guardian. In Tsukihime's case, Roa reincarnated in SHIKI's body and able to gain a form of Mystic Eyes doesn't matter because what he had is not the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception. Roa SHIKI could only perceive the death of living beings, unlike Shiki's which can perceive the death of all things. A fact that was drilled into the reader's head since the prologue. It is not a power-up when that feature has been there since the beginning. Hence why he can kill all of Roa's magical attacks. In close combat, both in Tsukihime and Fate, swordfight is usually aim to slash or thrust at the center of mass because it is the most exposed and biggest target in the human body.
