Same. The last game I pre-ordered. Played it day one, put in over 200 hours completing everything, yet I barely remember any of the characters or story of Andromeda. Bioware should never have attached the Mass Effect moniker to this game. The trilogy is a masterpiece. Andromeda barely registers.

I remember getting this on release, played it for two days and stopped. 2 years ago I picked the game back up & honestly enjoyed it for what it was. Combat was way better than in ME 1-3. Honestly All them are great games.

I was in the same boat, the release was buggy as hell. Shame they abandoned it I was hype for the quarian Ark dlc.

It was so much wasted potential. It really is an impressive game considering the studio that handled it was both unprepared for the scope of the project, as well as completely undersupported. I wish they had actually tried to make this a full trilogy.

I really hate how EA just straight up abandoned the game a few months after release. It's not like the game was complete garbage. The gameplay was the best out of the entire series but the story and narrative was the worst in the entire series. It could have been fixed!

That would require them to actually do some work......EA is lazy....they only like cheap content and products....little effort maximum profits.

ME2 and ME3 had the best gameplay because all locations and quests tied to them were handcrafted, there was none of that stupid MMO-like grind in huge soulless areas. And the story was fine. It had flaws but it was definitely better than gameplay. I loved Ark missions.

@@Leonion6yeah I agree. The story is unfinished because it's supposed to be unfinished. The game is obviously setting up for a sequel, and honestly, I wanted a sequel. There's a lot of mysteries still hidden, like the Quarian ark, where are the other races in the Andromeda galaxy, the origins of the scourge and how to stop it. It's just the ME fans didn't give the game a chance to get a sequel and even compared it to a freaking trilogy (The entire ME trilogy. Why are they comparing an entire trilogy to a one game?). Honestly, I do hope Andromeda gets a second chance. Ngl, I do like Ryder more than Shepard. Shepard is already baddass before the main story. Ryder is basically a nobody starting to become baddass, that's why I prefer Ryder more.

@@Leonion6 Yeah the game play was not better than 3 it felt stiff like when you first start playing 2 and have got used to it. Just because Andromeda gave you a jetpack doesn't mean it's better.

I still really enjoyed Andromeda and I'm gutted we'll probably not see a sequel to it. Don't think I'll ever not be extremely bitter towards Bioware for basically dropping Mass Effect in favour of Anthem (which totally failed in every way) when they had such a powerhouse of a franchise ready made in Mass Effect.

Yeah no its not only bugs its story telling i finished the game twice still dont have a fucking clue what was it about but on main game i can tell its story backwards and forwards it was just that good.

You can say that about most games, it’s not a point in Andromeda’s favour. It also wasn’t released prematurely. The BioWare team who worked on it were outright incompetent, being given six years to work. I despise EA, but they gave BioWare plenty of time. This mess is on the dev, not the publisher for once.

Maybe they wouldn't have it hadn't got cancelled so hard by the community itself. I'm not defending the company, but we all know what companies are in for, I'm saying the community made it worse. If anything, it's sad for the devs who really tried their best to make it work, in the worst circumstances, and they got trashed. The game in itself ain't that bad, but people kept comparing when the comparison wasn't even relevent. (And sadly, the damn bugs didn't help.)

I love the Mass Effect first 3 games, but I feel like people hated on Andromeda so much it scared the creators away from trying again. I didn't like Andromeda as much as the others, but I can still appreciate it enough to not out every minute detail that was messed up. Hopefully Mass Effect 4 players will be nicer this time around, I'm just happy to have another Mass Effect game!!

The plot is so cheesy compared to trilogy. Zero casualties from good guys, no stakes no payoff at the end. All the chitchat should've cut off the moment they entered the vault, like there was an interference in communication or smth.

I hope not. This is one of the worst games ever made by EA and Bioware. The series should have stopped at Mass Effect 3. Same with the Star Wars franchise. I also see you're a fan of Halo 5 which is says alot about your taste in storytelling.

@@jinx5005 I'm not upset at all and sadly for you, you've failed in what you want to accomplish. I'm just stating a fact that both Mass Effect and Halo franchises should not have a sequel because they will not sell well. With Baldur's Gate 3 being the King of RPGs, EA stands no chance in sales.

It is strange, the game was somewhere good, worse than trilogy of course, but not straight terrible, and yet i only remember this moment of all my playthrough. Didn't even remember main plot, characters, missions and other stuff. The entirety of this game was so unmemorable. And this is truly sad, it could be so much better. At least if Bioware not just throw this game, and actully do some fixing and dls.

I thought of picking this up back when it first came out but the reviews were saying it was bad even though I watched a play through of it and didn't see what was wrong. So I didn't pick it up then since it wasn't that popular but I did picked up a few months ago on sale for under $10. Still haven't loaded it up yet.

ME 1-3 were amazing, In my opinion they made design mistakes, for example making the mako an important element when it is the most boring and possibly the most buggy. I remember that the first phase was so boring that I didn't even want to continue. I still hope that a new edition of the saga comes out in which they have learned from the design mistakes. A game like this does not need the open world style at all, especially when carrying out the campaign. It should be entertaining and fun, aimed at advancing the story, making you want to continue playing and being part of the story. And never put the mako on again, please. If you have to disembark, invent a concealment device that allows you to get there on foot if necessary, but no buggies.

Story was a 6/10 but the combat was a 9/10 pretty damn good. Definitely enjoyed it more than ME 1-3 though the story was better in the trilogy. Also, visually the game was also impressive and very nice.

In comparison to the og trilogy I find the ship battles to be weak sauce. They fly awkwardly fast and just burst into clouds of fire when they should break into pieces like a frigate with a reaper beam tearing through it.

To make this simple. People use translators basically. Tho there's sometimes translator errors (you can know this if the alien spoke a word that isn't English and is completely alien to us) which means we either don't have a word for it or the translator malfunctioned.

Regardless of the technical problems (I didn't have any on the PC) it's a good game that had great possibilities for sequels. Blamed as the worst game in the world by a bunch of "waifu orphans" who can't move on from the original trilogy, like the tantrum brats that they are. People blame the gaming industry for being "bad" and all that same bullshit, but the real problem lies with consumers or at least a very large part of them.
