I've had mine since June, and have only had to set the time once (not including fresh out of the box), for daylight savings time. It is to be the most independently accurate (not connected to an atomic clock, like my G-Shock) watch I own. It hasn't deviated a single second. You'll never find a more accurate watch for the price.

The raised sapphire glass is one things that make this watch so unique.

The Bulova Lunar Pilot is not even in the same ballpark as the Omega Swatch. The Omega Swatch is like a child's replica of a real watch; a cheap plastique Speedmaster knockoff. The Lunar Pilot is closer to a real Speedmaster in quality and build, but it's more accurate than a real Speedmaster (indeed, more accurate than anything Omega makes today). I own all three: the 43mm Lunar Pilot in Black, the Mission to Mars Omega x Swatch, and a Planet Ocean Seamaster, and the Bulova is hands down my favorite of the three.

Excellent and comprehensive comparison of the 2 watches. A lume comparison would be interesting. I have no idea how people were so gaga over the Moonswatch when the Lunar Pilot - a FAR superior product (and that's an understatement) - is readily available. The Omega branding clearly impeded brain activity in many.

I have the one on a bracelet and love wearing it. People always ask about it like today at the watch repair store I had people wanting to check it out as its so unusual. I have a large 8.5 in wrist so it fits perfectly and would highly recommend it... (I agree with you and keen to get a s/steel bracelet also for a change to add to my current Nato and Lunar ones ive purchased.

Good job. My humble opinion. The Swatch version of the Omega is no match to The Bulova Lunar Pilot. I mean, in all respects.

Nice choice i own one with the two straps & date which you mentioned you we're after. Bulova have come out with a new seize 43mm in the original black dial & also a white & blue panda dial which i bought awesome i recommend you check it out all the best from the UK.
