I never realized how much shigekix is like Hong 10 until this battle. It's like Hong 10 is vsing a mini version of himself.

This is a battle that really shows two different attitudes. One is someone who doesn't need to show the world a thing, the other is one that wants to show everyone what he's made of.

Crazy battle. It's like they're watching distant versions of themselves. Shigekix is what, 13? By the time he's Hong's age, hes going to be an absolute monster. His toprock and musicality is sick for someone so young. I can't wait to see what kind of moves and transitions he'll incorporate in future sets.

Now 5 years later.. Shigekix had just won Red Bull BC One 2020 and becomes the youngest ever to do it at age 18.

Two amazing things about this battle: 1) Hong 10 will be 31 years old soon and yet he is still showing improvements, getting better than he has ever been since the day he got out of military service few years ago. 2) Shigekix is already one of the best bboys in the world at the age of 13.

Coming back to this battle in 2020, you can see just how much Shigekix has improved.

Hope Shigekix would learn from Hong 10 and keep on improving his own things. I know his move is somewhat similar to the one of Hong 10 signature moves, but you can't really blame him for that. There is like so many moves in the bboying world now, and you will never know whether the move that you practiced for a long time was actually has been used by the other bboys. I've started bboying since 2008 and I know what it's felt like to be called a bitter just because I did the almost exact same move of the other guys or other bboys around the world who I don't even know. But seriously Shigekix has done a very good job to battle one of the living legend. And for Hong 10, to saw the kid potential and he's trying to bring out the whole things out of Shigekix so that he can learn and improve for the better, is just perfect. Without doubt Shigekix will definitely going to be a star in a couple of more years, just like his fellow Japanese bboy Issei, even though Issei started his bboying life with his own original moves.
