I read the email earlier and wanted to congratulate you. Thanks for providing us with great gear that doesn't break the bank! I use Rangeguards with the multimount mic and PTT P2, and they work perfectly with the UV-5R and AR-152. It's so much fun to LARP like I'm back in the Army.

Have you thought about doing UV-K5 stuff? A lot of stuff has blown up in this space because of the fact that it can accept custom firmware. I don't own a 5r but i do own a K5 and would defiantly support you buying cases and guards for this model.
