In this video I give some guides, tips and strategies to get top 100 for the EM Bombers of Shinra Battle Ranking event in Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis. My guide will mainly be focused on physical ice setup when it comes to dealing with Reno but I give some tips for airbuster if you have the account for it. I do not have enough lightning DPS or a good Magic Lightning setup for it so its a fight that I couldn't get a good enough score on. I currently rank 36 so I might be good for top 50 by the end of it.
Keys to the Reno fight
- Bring poison Esuna heal and heal poison at the beginning of the fight ASAP.
- Kill Wraith Hound immediately after healing the poison, 1 C ability and 2 blizzard blows should hopefully do the job.
- Kill the bomb to avoid taking too much needless damage which will affect your score
- Buff physical attack with Yuffie, if you're using Tifa amarant claws you may be able to just use them once during killing the bomb, so Yuffie can save a little ATB and focus on debuffing ice resistance.
- From this point on only use C ability attacks for Cloud to maximize his summon gauge, his final attack should be a blizzard blow though so he'll get Shiva in time before Reno gets off his next big attack.
- No healer is needed if you have a similar setup to this
EDIT: I pushed my best score to 783K which bumped me up a good 20+ rankings from where I was. Since Yuffie is targeted twice for having the most HP in this battle, all I really changed was giving Yuffie PDEF/Lightning Resist back weapons which reduced the damage she took. Less damage equals better score 👌
