I love how the enemies have set attacks and dodges. A lot of VR misses that difficulty aspect that people love from normal videogames.

For the longest time I had no clue why blade and sorcery was so much more famous then battle talent, battle talent beat it in every single aspect. Then I realised Id been playing the demo the whole time, so I downloaded the full version and I cried tears of joy from how perfect it was As one of the cons you mentioned bad stabbing while in the clip you were using a curved sword that is literally designed only to slice. You also mentioned how fast enemies swing, and while I do agree that most of them swing incredibly fast this is a necessary part as otherwise it would be far too easy to kill them, plus if you get good enough you can deflect all of their attacks and it makes you feel like you've ascended to a higher plane of existence

Blade and Sorcery desperately needs more animations. This game is a perfect example of variety in combat.

I played this game as a 5’9 140 lb black male in a metal trailer in 95 degree weather in ga and lemme tell you guys I have never been more physically challenged on some small circle shit, using that confined space and doing dungeon runs with no magic (my character was more of the close ranged warrior class) and trying to be fast and efficient as I was at work was everything it sounds like!!! Sweaty 🥵 nerve wracking and intense and I love every second of it on quest 2!!!

Probably the best things about Battle Talent is that you can load things in the crossbow and that the enemies' attacks aren't too fast nor too slow, and also the aerial combat is so good

I used to play this game when it was in alpha lol. It was incredibly fun even back _then_ and I've been meaning to acquire the money to get the full release

I train in two different Japanese sword arts, (I’m not an expert in either though.) when I learn something in the dojo I try to take it into VR.. battle talent responds exceptionally well to actual stance, form and movement taught in the dojo. (Especially Shinkendo). Swordsman VR, is good, but the way the opponents are armored, makes their movement and attack patterns predictable at times. Battle talent gives allot more opportunity to try different movements and cuts. My favorite thing is the ability to shuffle step, (which swordsman VR misses out on). Use the left joy stick to pick a direction, and flick the right joy stick back to do a quick shuffle step, in the direction you designated by the left stick. This allows you to step into your attack or step back when the enemy is striking, it makes a huge difference in the game experience. It also makes the game much more usable when applying actual combat techniques.

I was about to mention Swordsman VR since it recently came out on quest (I play on psvr) but DAMN this game goes hard. One of the best vr sword fighting games out there. Amazingly edited video! Great pacing with vo explaining the content. 🙌 7:00 the physics of Bonnie lol

7:22 I have found that the stabbing is dependent on your speed/force, you cant just easily penetrate someone with a blade because it just slides off to the side, if you put actual force into it (like a lot of force) then it works very nicely

Truly a fantastic game! From what I can tell blade and sorcery is almost unmatched when it comes to modding content despite U11, U12 constant changes. (not sure if that's the modding tools or just the crazy community) Battle Talent makes up for it with actual crafted and catered content by the devs. but I'm not sure if you got a chance to play vertigo 2 yet VR-Bro but man, it has an in-game map editor that anyone can really use and it make a massive difference when it comes to content. everything from a water level, Prison Break, goofy meme-Easter-egg kind of thing, it's awesome! So, the way I see it, if battle Talent can really nail down a simple and easy to access map editor, then that would give them quite the edge. Love the content man 💗

I have the demo installed and I have to say. IT IS SUCH A STRESS RELIEVER. I play it all the time and I wanna get the full version as soon as possible

I watched this game grow up on my oculus quest! it was a ton of fun seeing him add all these weapons!

used to play battle talent sandbox mode spawn 100 goblins and give them 3x hp and 6x damg smoked a blunt beforehand and listened to the loudest most aggressive music i can and ive never had as much fun playing literally any other game vr or not (except titanfall2) greatly recommend doing this because it really teaches you how to dodge block and hit during openings aswell as durability management and spacing since they just kinda group up unless you set them to come in waves

I have never heard of battle talent, but now i'm interested. I had no idea why people said blade and sorcery had the best melee combat, I think they were referring to how op you could be. I may not have any practical experience with swords, but I found myself fascinated with elegantly and realistically parrying and countering enemies instead of overpowering them. Which is why I enjoy the combat of Hellsplit: arena, which I recommend to anyone who also likes the same thing as me. But battle talent seems to have more content, so il have to try it out for sure.

Battle talent is like a rpg while blade and sorcery is ( for now) a sand box and both are good in their own aspects

Superficially, what sets Battle Talent apart is its excellent enemy variety. Goblins, skeletons, ogres, anime swordfighters, the list goes on. B&S only has humans separated by different combinations of one-handed weapons, which I don't expect to change any time soon.

Played this game since it was on side quest and I have blade and sorcery, almost never played it even when it was in a beta on side quest. Love this game, also less graphically challenging and more practical on my budget pc

my favorite weapon in bt is the ice wand its SOO fun to spawn in random swords and then just stab it into an enemy and watch them stand there like "bru i cant move"

To me the greatest thing I have done in this game is that fact that i mod it so that I am fighting the final boss while listening to Order.

you said "enemys just give up when you grab them" for B&S but you can to the exact thing in battle talent. edit: there is a mod in B&S called expert mod it makes it more of a challenge also if you want enemys with more health or a boss THEN JUST GET A MOD also crystal hunt is coming out and there is already dungeons like in battle talent and there will be currency and stuff for that so im pretty excited OH AND i respect your opinion but keep this in mind next time you play B&S. edit: there is also a mod that allows them to not get pushed over so easily

I personally don't understand all the hype, I played it and the combat just felt floaty. Blade and sorcery doesn't have the variety, but it has the graphics, more realistic combat, (other than being able to launch things into the stratosphere). Blade and Sorcery, which some people consider easier (vanilla, sure) can be WAY harder if you add a couple mods in. Less health for the player, extra damage for the enemies, faster attacks, weaker punches, weaker kicks, heavier enemies, survivable dismemberment, mods that make enemies able to tank stabs and get back up, health modifers that let you turn enemies into what is essentially a invincible warrior, gore mods that let you pluck eyes out of your enemies, making their faces deform with a strong enough punch or blunt blow to the face, and thats just the TIP of the iceberg for overhaul mods. You can REALLY easily just use mods to enhance the experience which the majority of players do, and the progression and skill unlocking? gonna be fixed this year during the 1.0 release. No scripting for nomad? thats changed! You said something about weapon mods just being reskins and not adding too much to the game? there are LITERAL grappling hooks, grenades, working guns, lightsabers, blasters, weapons that have functioning and useful abilities, different modes, etc. And spell mods, holy. You can create massive magical hands that you can use to grab, toss, smash, slap, punch, etc. You can fly, or summon powerful weapons. You can summon small tornados that throw around enemies, you can create slashes that travel through the air and chop through anyone who stands in your way. You can get map mods that enhance gameplay, giving you new areas to fight in, more ways to attack, and more. Ontop of ALL the mods that can make the game harder, you can also make yourself even STRONGER with overpowered spells, weapons, the ingame cheats that you can turn on and off, along with a way to adjust physics if you still prefer the lighter, more floaty combat of battle talent or want a heavier, possibly more difficult combat if you make weapons heavier and harder to control. Seriously, what does battle talent do better? everything is either going to be fixed THIS year or can be fixed NOW with a few mods. While battle talent is better in variety, I dont just understand why people are treating it like a new messiah.

I have the full version of this game and omg is this game great. The mods are great, the discord community is great (kinda a lie since I don't know what's going on since I got banned from the BT Discord). The mods are definitely high quality too. The game does challenge you too.

I cheat in nearly all my (single-player) games. I tried battle talent and from a purely sword play and challenge POV its so much better than blade and sorcery. But from a pure sandboxy fun POV its way worse. I have never once grown tired of the challenge in Blade and Sorcery as there never was one for me, since I don't really like my games to be super challenging. I absolutely love that I can just turn on invincibility and infinite slow mo and with a few small mods I can play god whenever I want. Usually what I do is install a random weapon bag mod and a bunch of weapon packs, then I go into a dungeon and after every kill I switch to a new random weapon. Or maybe I try fists only, or maybe no magic (including telekinesis grabs). Maybe I try installing and exploring a massive map, or I try scaling a large map using axes and pickaxes. Maybe I decide to go onto cathedral and use that small rock on the bridge as a weapon for a bit. It helps if your not stuck on Nomad as well.

The most only reason I get on blade and sorcery is if I’m feeling down for some hand to hand, because it’s the only thing it beats battle talent with.

I think what Battle Talent does better BY FAR is it's actual progression, you have magic items, upgrades in runs, unlockable weapons, etc.

i turn into an actual villain when given a virtual sword, I don't wanna know what would happen if I was given a real sword.

not sure if it was an update or i missed it or something but you missed air combos which are sick.

I'll have to check this out. B&S is great, but you just feel too strong and like all the enemies are drunk. They just awkwardly stumble at you, and if you breath near them they fall over or get shot into space.

Will point out, the swords that spawn from the blue ice staff things, yea if you just take those swords it is 9x damage and tapping on an armored bosses head is basically an instakill. More fun without it but still pretty funny.

Try clone drone in the danger zone vr, it's pretty fun

Gotta say most VR games have be just going "Eh if I had a VR headset Id check it out". This game though has moved up to "Whats the cheapest VR headset I can get to play this on". Hopefully in another few years it will finally reach the "I don't care how much it costs I need the best VR headset there is"

Mind control be like: "YOU SERVE UNDER THE BRIGHT LORD!" Also, just by experimenting with the crossbow, i can fire other enemies' weapons with it. Game 10/10

only thing bad about battle talent is if you have an index then you have to squeeze the crap out of the grip or you will just drop your weapon

I personally prefer sword combat where it doesnt feel like youre dragging your weapon through mud, i know theyre tryin to make it feel weighty, it just doesnt work for me from what ive tried, my favorite melee so far is dungeons of eternity at least that one takes into consideration the force of your swing and you cant just touch an enemy and do full damage...but ill admit i had my eye on this one, lol...
