It kinda makes me sad that we'll probably never have a game like this again. The trailers, the marketing, the hype and the game itself were amazing. DICE took us to an era that no other triple-A developer dared to explore, exactly 100 years after the actual war. It also coincided with The Great War documentary, which was quite coold. I don't think I'll ever be as excited for a game as I was for Battlefield 1. I can't believe it's been 5 years already, it all feels like yesterday...

Honestly....this was the best most polished battlefield of them all It is dice's magnum opus

This trailer is PERFECT and I’ll tell you why. Most of the time while playing bf1 it feels like just another FPS (which is still fun). But then every once in a while you are in a situation that feels so surreal, like your team defending a position surrounded by enemies fighting bullet for bullet helping each other out knowing the only way to survive is to last until your allies push forward. Or when the battle field is chaos around you and you somehow live through all the death and destruction. All of a sudden in these moments the game feels real and you switch from just trying to get kills to the closest thing I’ve felt my mind go into “fight or flight”. After these moments are over I just sit back in my chair and feel my reality come back to me. No other game has ever made me feel this. if you have want to play for the kills, you can play any FPS game. But if you want to play for the EXPERIENCE, this is the only game that can deliver it.

Peak Battlefield.

Never before have I played a multiplayer shooter that immersed me into the setting like this. The sounds of mortars and artillery hitting buildings near you, the planes doing bombing runs above you, the chaotic firefights of the trenches and the desperate defense of a turret bunker. This is a game I can go back to after 5 months of not playing it and still have a good time defending the mountains of Italy from the Austro-Hungarians, where me and five other guys will do our best to defend a bunker from the Germans in the Argonne Forest. Even using the bolt action rifles of the sniper/medic class against submachine guns is fun because every weapon is relatively balanced to the point where you can even effectively use a pepper box revolver against someone.
