I've gone through the in-game settings and lowered them once before but recently my game started crashing like every few minutes, so I followed this video and for some reason it was now set to 1440p with all settings set to high and ultra. Im on a GTX 1650 and Ryzen 5 3600 and i was getting 55-60 fps on low graphics, and holy shit i was not expecting the FPS increase like that, now im getting a steady 60-65 FPS and it hasnt dipped below 60 even in when chaos is all around. Thanks man, keep up the good work

Man you have no idea how much I thank you, I have a 3060ti but paired with an old cpu a i5-8400, I was getting desperate since at first I was getting 60 fps on conquest but all of the sudden it got to 38 - 55 fps in best scenarios, I had no idea what to do now I play 60+ all the time, the improvement was insane

Not really a good guide. Literally just tells you to lower everything and lower the resolution... That is the main way for every game to get better fps. You can just use DLSS with the 3080 Ti to get better performance.

I have over 100 hours logged but maybe less than half of that was gameplay how stuck in and out of troubleshooting I have been trying. Anyway I followed the advice especially config files IMO made biggest difference. So then I started doing the same for my arma 3 and etc.. thanks dude. Feels like a new game

Ok, I tried most of what you mentioned and I didn't get any meaningful uplift in FPS. The only thing I haven't tried yet is the NVIDIA scaling stuff

This is very possible, if you enable perfover.drawfps 1 then you will see that gpu fps is actually high but cpu fps draws the smoothness down, even on very powerful systems. There is a cpu usage problem or something. It's mostly in 128 player modes. I have 9900K at 5.2 GHz and 5900X at 4.7 GHz and both systems have cpu fps (top number in perfoverlay) drop to red and yellow at times, even tho my gpu is at 100-200 fps (RTX 3080)

These settings made 2042 run a little better, or atleast look a little clearer. But BFV crash ever single time i try to start it up and i have no idea what exactly i need to change back, so i reset everything in the Geforce control panel and now it works again..

I wouldn't have minded if it was an old PC but I put a high end one for COD and BF and neither played particular that well (although COD was effected by the ridiculous grenade and fire spam

Something I’m sharing on all videos is what I’ve done recently for a performance boost. Reverted back to old nvidia driver from June/July time. Getting solid 70 to 80fps and no stutter. Occasionally dips to late 60s but very rarely. And certain parts of break away it goes into the 90s. I am running a 2700x(SMT off) and a GTX 1080 at 1440P. All settings low besides texture quality and filtering which are both set to high.

DDU with NVSLimmer is the best fix for most problems..my gpu would never go below 60 degrees even at idle.. ran DDU with a fresh driver..idles at 40 now.. crazy how config files can jack shit up

I found something that has been causing atleast some of the issues in BF2042 . The cashe folder in my bf2042 documents folder will just keep on filling up the more i play the game and never empty's on it's own . I have never seen this before most games don't go for stacking the cashe endlessly until your drive runs out of space . 😂

Most of these didn't work but I suggest doing repair if you are on origin or verify integrity files if you are on steam. That worked for me and boosted fps significantly.

Good video, one thing tho. With Nvidia settings I would not recommend Maximum performance with power management in the global settings but rather in the program settings. Cause otherwise your gpu will be at max even in the desktop.

Changing the GPU settings on my pc proper messed my game up, just took ages undoing everything to get it working again, suppose the rest of the setting are decent though

Just bought the game. Got all the settings low and so on -> 45 Fps with dips to 30 with a 2080 great game, only got to lvl 2 pog

low settings use cpu and not gpu bring the settings up

@@MrViperman44 It's trash either way. It's bottled @ cpu, he can run it all on max and it won't change anything fps wise if he has a competent system.

Something’s definitely up with your pc. I run at 65 to 85 fps consistently at 1440p mostly low settings. Ryzen 7 3700x, GTX 1070, 16gb 3600mhz cas 14 ram.

hey i have i5-8600 & 1080ti yet i get stuck at 40fps on the main all out warfare modes only in portal can i get a stable 60+ fps any help appreciated. Cheers!

First of all this video is awsome. However I'm curious about Nis. When I use it it works just as you described but when I lower the resolution is starts looking worse but my fps doesn't rise much if any. Could my frame counter be incorrect? I'm using nvidia GeForce experience to measure.

i do the same step by step but i have still graphic set on old setting texture gr. high everything else normal and i have still 20 fps + thank you for this

How do I really turn off the render resolution? If I disable it from normal settings I see worse than the console if I put for example 1.3, I really want it to turn it off from there how do I do?

I can't change any of the nvidia control panel settings without being locked at 60hz, I'm normally at 144hz but it puts me at 60 after using those settings and I can't change back to 144 unless I go back to my default settings
