Yeah, all was got was the same old same old multiplayer slogfest. I was looking forward to an actual campaign, but nooooo. That was too much to ask for.

They honestly didn't have all the resources. They had to spend a ton of time updating to the new engine that nobody was familiar with because a lot of the old devs (BF1 and earlier) had left the company for Embark Studios in early 2018. EA pushed those devs out by restricting creative freedom, and this is the price they pay. EA should have allowed dice to delay the game, but instead we got an unfinished game.

The people that built Battlefield all left. 2042 was doomed from the start. Few listened, and fewer knew the marketing were all lies.

No campaign is a bad factor

They also had covid and a completely new frost bite engine to adapt too.

A shame is that this exodus thing wasnt made into a history mode

I believe in my opinion is because the reason why the game shattered into pieces at first launch is because I'm pretty sure that they were working on the campaign but then till the actor of Irish's death suddenly happened before launch, I feel like they've most likely suffered with severe damage to how much work they were bringing in the game that they had to remove the development of the campaign, the pandemic made them suffer too but I think the reason why they were rushing to bring the game out is because the fans were telling them to release it early and now everyone's complaining. "I'm just saying this as in my opinion so I may be wrong but I may have a point there"

@@r.a.y3864 I recently brought it, the game ain't that bad as far as I know, it's mainly just the animations that get a bit buggy sometimes when you get into the match, but just remember that they fixed most things and is playable now, pretty sure they're still working on other fixes

How Irish didn't get riddled with bullets hiding behind a thin car door that even cops know provides no cover? They could've moved the character a little to the left to get behind the engine block(like real soldiers would do).

It was my first Battlefield campaign. Looking back, I can see why it was heavily criticized, but I was 10 and loved it to death. Edit: Hell, I still like it!

But he was also killed in BF4 (unless Hannah is a medic that doesn't know how to check someone pulse). Hannah on the other hand was MIA. She was never actually killed
