McKay and the rest of the Specialists should've never been a thing. Nobody should be going, "Oh, I main Falk/McKay" in a Battlefield game of all things. They should be saying things like, "Yeah, I play Assault or Recon, but I like to swap to Engineer if an enemy vehicle is giving us trouble." If 2042 is the kind of quality we can expect from DICE going forward, then this studio is cooked.

Yeah I agree. The equipment the specialists use aren't even op or not fun, if they are essentially treated like power ups. If you look at it through a game design lens, a Heli, a tank, a jeep, a wing suit, a grappling hook, they are all power ups. No different than a super mushroom, empowering the player. But when you start with them from spanw and every player has one and can pile even more power on top, you get battlefield 2042. We all may as well have an attack helicopter in back pocket that we can swap too, when we need to be a bit 'ratty'. we can already call tanks down from the sky. Battlefield 2042 is where every player is a hero, so it ends up no one is and all your deaths are from horrible cheese.

Grappling to unexpected areas is the intended use of the grapple. The nerf was to tamp the unintended uses that sped up Mackay gameplay (grappling the ground to cross a street, etc.). The nerf accomplished this.

If the grappling hook had to stay in the game, id make it equipment only with 2 uses until resupplied at ammo box. McKay passive would be nimble and double ammo capacity for grappling hook when picked as equipment. For his gadget, give him anything else, possibility is endless just not an unlimited grapple, how about a movement stim maybe, give him extra run speed or some shizz That said, could just remove him for best result.

Imo, To nerf Mackay, is to fix a number on grappling hooks that he can carry, instead of giving infinite recharges. Usually 3 hooks is enough. This type of limiting specialist gadgets numbers should be applied to all the specialist gadgets. It can be only resupplied through Angel call in crate.

Having unlocked everything for the stealth bomber - i can confidently say that it's pure dogshit. Skill doesn't matter for survival, it's based on luck because it has no countermeasures against infantry. Jammer only blocks vehicle locks but you also have to use it before the missile is even fired which completely messes up your muscle memory. There's no reason to use it, it's frustrating and unrewarding to play. On another note, they somehow fucked up disabling air vehicles, you pretty much get disabled by any damage you take. And once your wings are disabled for the second time, you're dead because you can't turn anymore :)

I hope they fixed the issues it had in the play test. That game may not be best, but compared to other fps options this seems the most fun. Also I hope they won't delay right before release.

My gosh, Dice is just a Meme, even the Noob Bike have Flairs, the Drone is just the biggest failure I see in this game. A JDam bomb from makes even lower damage as a hand grenade 🙈, useless rockets, useless JDam, Kerosene bomb only visual, you need to hit the guys on the head to kill someone. It's a Shame Dice. I'm really concerned about next battlefield 🤔.

The bomber is the last piece of sh!t. Its offensive power isnt that bad, but as you mentioned, u have absolutely no possibilities to do anything against infantry. So generally its balance is the worst a air vehicle might have in stingerfield 2042. The only hope for me is dice getting absolutely shit on to burn battlefield down because with such people „balancing“ the game, battlefield never will reach the peak again.

i had just decided to give this turd another shot the day before EA pulled the plug. they gave the literal bare minimum and then abandoned like everyone expected. it's time for EA to close Dice Sweden already. they have botched FIVE STRAIGHT TITLES now. Visceral screwed up one single game and it was over for them. Dice is one of the worst studios in the world.

Why doesnt Enders play Valorant or CS or something? It seems like he doesnt like anything BF is known for as he just plays infantry and runs and guns. Which is fine, absolutely, but add in his playstyle and dislike of milsim it seems like the arcade like competitive shooters would be more his style.
