I agree it's kind of cheap to not create an entire knew map, but its actually smart in a way. A lot of people liked playing in the stadium and where bummed when they took it out. So they took something we liked, made it the main focus and overhauled the entire thing. Pay attention to the clip, they made the entire stadium much more detailed and accessible. Should be a pretty cool indoor, non-vehicle map to play on.

I personally love these trailers. They're well made, the soundtracks are always ❤️‍🔥, the synced gunshots pleases my monke brain, and they do what a trailer is supposed to do which is to display all the new content coming into the game. But you're right that they're getting a bit formulaic.

To everyone saying they took 6 months for this next season, there is an explanation for this - Basically S6 was the last update they announced in the past. As the game has started to gain players they decided to continue giving more seasons, so 6 months is not so accurate in my opinion. Also I appreciate them by recognizing the community increase and adding the support back again to the game. I say kudos to them, the game is in the revival stage. It might make its comeback if they keep up like this. Appreciate if they are doing something about it, or we will get games like "skull and bones" and "suicide squad".

Start up “Operations” by combining multiple maps, just like BF1.

You can kind of create it in portal actually. Just choose breakthrough and the 2 maps you want to link. If attackers lose, you restart at the 1st map, if defenders lose, you just let the rotation play out

I'm actually happy they're bringing Stadium back. I felt like it had a lot of potential that just never really saw much combat. And I'm sure it's revamped to be even more interesting. It may as well be a new map entirely on its own.

I saw the gameplay video, and I'm honestly happy that the AK-5C comes with an M203 grenade launcher as an attachment, but why do I go to the trouble of putting my left hand on the magazine when firing by default when equipped? I don't understand why the M203 grenade launcher in the portal is held the same way. Just like with the SFAR-M GL, for default firing, just place your left hand on the bottom of the launcher. And just add the M203 grenade launcher to the M16A3 along with the A2 handguard!

So every leak was true except for the "two" maps. To be fair, I didn't think they'd add a stealth bomber jet ever since the data mine (I wonder if it will take a gunship role like in BF4?) and I always wondered if they would give us the stadium in hourglass back but calling it a new map just isn't right, as for the TOW, didn't ask for it though it's a nice surprise.

I recently went back to Battlefield V. The old one has so much more interest in the maps, scenery and environment. This appears to have been sacrificed in 2042 to increase the number of players.

No, 2042 has extremely unique maps with amazing scenery, for example, exposure, fighting on a mountain that had a landslide, or renewal, half grass half desert, and redacted is unique too

Personally I would like to see seasons disappear, and just go back to DLC's. Like Battlefield 3, the franchise doesn't benefit from seasons. Remember when you were able to play games because they were fun, hours on end. Now you can't go 5min without unlocking something or your brain starts to hurt because of "lack of content" when we use to play with the same weapons, same maps over and over again for hundreds if not thousands of hours

So my big take away here was the proper map destruction in Haven. Reminds me of the buildings in BC2. Also RQ-180 drones with active camo? Either it's some sort of airstrike ability or a remote pilotable aircraft

I can feel server desync worsening with each update. I hope they acknowledge it before support is dropped. The positions of player models and player hitboxes should be 1:1, but they haven't been since at least BFV.

I’m pretty sure St. Peter ain’t gonna ask you whether or not you enjoyed a video game based on the fact that the devs reused an asset from a previous map. Heck, I’m glad they brought back the Stadium, it was one of the coolest parts of the Doha map!
