Holy shit its like a time capsule. What a great game. Yeah it had a lot of bullshit with the first battlepass system that would come to plague games ever since, but the core game was great. So many good memories from BF3

lmao this is the most early battlefield 3 thing ever. USAS-12 with frags, the pocket sun that can blind someone if you point it in their general direction from 20 meters away. Even the skins and voice lines are so nostalgic

i remember the horrors of that staircase on the third mcom, the usas frag still haunts me.

Honestly looking at this and remembering this godhood days of bf, the developers of 2042 have clearly never played a battlefield game before BFV.

I would of kept the USAS the same but instead of extended mags I would of gave it less ammo for the frags I would say five shells because that is two kills which seems fair to me.

@WolfPSN NOO, lol, do not sit here and try to tell me that gun requires some sort of effort to pwn people. BTW, who in battlefield uses the original sights for either two of the mentioned weapons? A very small percentage. Nerfing this weapon in any sense will render it a COD weapon. Which in fact is COMPLETELY UNREALISTIC. Leave it be.

on maps like metro (the only map i use the USAS on) it rapes, because of the close quarters, the splash damage does alot, however the famas can still easily beat it if you have less than moderate skill, ive tried it before, Usas can easily be outshot if you have the skill of a 2 month old.

The thing about the usas is its amount of suppressing fire it lays. You can't get away. The frag rounds should increase recoil, slow fire rate, and lessen the suppressing effect. Nothing can beat it at most ranges. Another shotgun has less range, and the carbines won't do enough damage. Assault rifles are okay against it depending in the range. A sniper or a Lmg will work. Lmg will suppress the user giving you an extra half sceond. Before you die

@arib1612 I think you have to get to level 43. Then play to level 44 to get frag rounds.

Well as of the patch the fire rate of the usas gets lowered when using frag rounds.

Excuse me. Don't get mad at me but, I am planning to buy a PS3 plus Battlefield 3. And need to learn some basics from the beginning. As a bit of a CoD player. (Only 1 game and play it 1 time a week or so) But this weapon doesnt look that overpowered. Can you tell me a bit more abou thits? Thanks in advance!

no it isnt, the gas pressure is reduced with frag rounds, thats the reason why they're so slow. the developers of FRAG12 thought about that already. Also, the FRAG12 is a FIN-STABILIZED shell, so it doesent need spin or anything like that

@WolfPSN While I do think the FAMAS is slighty overpowered, it's nothing I can't deal with. The Usas-12 and sometimes MK3A1 w/ frag rounds are MUCH worse.

The pick up weapon like this in BF4 is a nerf guns compare to BF3

Yeah I just checked and it is 60 kills, though the last time I checked before that it said 40 kills. Don't really know what that's all about. Still, I think it's BS that it's unlocked before slugs.

I still agree that the USAS with frag rounds is way more OP right now though.

It is fair...you see the USAS-12 is very situation-specific in its use. Oh sure on Op Metro it may seem OP, but in reality it isn't. It seems like it is overpowered, but in reality it isn't. I post similar, if not better scores using the M249 or the F2000. Heck even with the 870MCS I post up beast scores. And I've run into a handful of guys using the USAS-12 with frag rounds and I will put them down the majority of the time because I have superior skill. So yeah, every gun has it's role.

@lyles32386 that's the whole problem. Because it takes zero skill to use and there is no negative to using it it's just encouraging more and more players to use it. Whoever suggested frag rounds be put into this game should never work on any multiplayer ever again. All it's done is take the issue of noob tubing and made it worse. At least tubers had to fire one,reload,lineup,fire and not just have 11 IFV HE shells that can be fired within a fraction of a second of each other

finally unlocks this shit and took me forever to unlock frag. the next day it gets nerfed. ughhh

To unlock frag rounds you just need 40 kills with the shotgun.

Ok, we all know that the USAS12 and the MK3A1 has been a little, no actually, A LOT, weaker since the patch. And how many times do you seriously get killed by these two shotguns? Not much:/ I think all this "OP" thing is exaggerated:/ And if it's not, remember that it's a damn SHOTGUN^^

have you noticed, that every video what is complaining about USAS is made in metro?

I use the 3.4 scope with frag rounds.

But the recoil on the FAMAS is so low compared to it's high rate of fire that undisciplined noobs can easily acquire it if they buy the map pack and spray n' pray and get a few kills on one mag.
