It doesn't, the low level gods are already back. It is only keeping away the rage cheaters / unreleased weapons cheaters.

u forgot that cheaters on the launch are able to bypass it by deleting 1 file in BF folder, so it is broken and not fully working, maybe they can release a patch who knows dice is unpredictable.

Maybe it will be fine for a week. But cheaters are still VERY MUCH present in 2042. They arent as chill and blatant, but I can assure u that for every 1 cheater there is at least 70 stealth cheaters trying to hide it.

I have never seen a cheater in bf2042 and also in bf 5 since the anti cheat update.

I just played today and spectated multiple so-called players for way too many rounds... always knowing where everyone is at... no matter what they played... inf, armor, or planes. One cheater in armor was so obvious it was pathetic. There is no way an armor driver always knows when someone is behind him... _out of possible FOV view, and when he was always looking forward and then would swivel back to shoot!_

Well, got the update right now and there's a real difference. -much better and no 88/3 k/d on the servers i tried. Hopefully it will have a lasting effect.

they could also just globally ban players from "Enter that country here in the comment" :D that might fix 90 % of the cheaters :)

This is a kernel based anti cheat, similar to Vanguard, and it proved to be very effective.

well I tried it a few times after the new anti-cheat was added to the game.. at first it seemed to be better but two days later it was cheaterfield all over again.. guys with 121:5 are not uncommon. So I quit again.. its pointless.

17 April 2024 after allmost 2 weeks with no cheater, they are back. I firestorm hax got mutiple v-1 [like 30] and reverce pistol hax.

Well, FF wasn't that great anyway because it would kick legit players too. Some guy used to make BF1 videos showing where he'd get a ton of kills in the nose gun of a bomber and FF would kick him.

aren't the cheaters on official DICE servers most of the time? community servers should be pretty safe, at least they seem to me as long as i've played on them

They're all over, last night had a hacker in a community lobby. My squad would keep randomly dying from nothing on the last objective needed to win. Kept saying "redeploying" and no cause of death. He then got bored of this hack and started cross map 1 tapping everyone with a LMG. Fun.

Some community servers have stupid rules like 125% or 200% damage, weapon restrictions, level restrictions, etc. and the admins can be pu$$ies.

"community servers should be pretty safe" No they are not. Definitely not. Even reporting known long term cheaters doesn't work, usual answer, they got good gaming chair to explain those 70 degree aimbot snaps to enemy THROUGH A WALL.
