Meanwhile they could being back the ability to play in another region without using VPN, for example.

yeah, the tiny playerbase makes it so difficult to just have a normal game. back when i played 2042 i would always run into ash and reaps, i'd have to server hop to avoid them. the only oce players left are sitting in puddles of sweat :(

Sadly good players get caught up in this as well (myself included) with people attacking me daily and accusing me as a cheater.

Seems like nobody cares because people are still playing. Or more probable - they have no self respect. Or game is so bad they got used to random deaths in 0.00001 second.

Rather have some fun and actually playing the game instead of making your pc/console play for you.. But I guess some people cant stand being bad , and they think the cheats will elevate them, while in reallaty its just a nickname.. Dont worry to much about them, because they almost sure still have a really sad Irl life. More you care, more important they feel..

I have never been big into battlefield, my first experience with the series being (VERY UNFORTUNATELY) bf2042, which is disappointing to say the least. However, I've played professionally in other games before, and have a story that's very sad/funny and somewhat similar to yours. In the old days of a game I competed in, one of the admins that issued out the clients that people would use to play the game (I want to say it was ESEA, but I am not 100% certain, it has been so long) decided it would be really funny to screen record everyone's monitors. That is to say, any time the game launched, the admin would get pictures and videos of these people playing, all organized for their own viewing pleasure. It was eventually found to be "too intrusive" after some people somehow figured out it was happening, and subsequently stopped... but in that time span of perhaps only 1 week or less, COUNTLESS NUMBERS of so-called professional players were found to have cheat software displaying on their screens, wallhacks, entire cheat menus, people turning on and off random cheat settings in between games, you name it. dudes with silent aim set to the lowest possible settings, dudes with triggerbot, anything you could think of, there were a large number of people doing it. BUT EVEN AFTER GETTING LITERAL VIDEO PROOF that these people were cheating, nothing ever happened to basically any of them. Obtaining evidence that way was too unscrupulous, or whatever stupid excuse the AC team gave us. Years and years and years later, seeing people in my division, as well as every other division in the game, blatantly cheating day in and day out, i finally decided that it just wasn't worth it anymore. You could say that cheating in comp play has always been a widespread issue like this, but really what made me quit was not just the cheaters themselves, but the complete lack of a response from any of the people that could have banned the ones that were cheating all along. people would make entire joke frag videos about these people blatantly cheating, with hundreds and hundreds of clips of them brazenly aimbotting in playoffs matches and onwards, and even then the head honchos would sit on their thumbs and go humdeedum Iunno we don't really know he's cheating quite yet, we need more solid evidence than this... I would venture to say that cheating in pro esports has only gotten worse and worse over time, and most people have no idea just how far down the rabbit hole goes. But oh well.

yeah that sounds like the average ESEA experience. ESEA was a thing in CS:S and CS:GO and i've competed in these games, too, also partially on ESEA. horrible client, horrible moderation team, and the cherry on top was the bitcoin mining scandal. if you haven't heared of it, the ESEA client was at one point an actual bitcoin miner. whenever you had the client open, it would silently mine bitcoin without letting you know it did. so what you're describing doesn't surprise me in the slightest. average ESEA moment, really. also, ithat reminds me of valorant's vanguard, which recently was also discovered to take screenshots not only of the game itself, but it can basucally screenshot anything on your computer at any time, as it has kernel level privileges. but yeah, cheating in pro esports is probably pretty bad. the only game i can think of that probably has zero cheaters in pro play is Rocket League. for all FPS games, you can't ever be completely sure. what infuriates me is the sheer incompetence by some admins. i have a video on my channel (unlisted) which shows me completely formatting a usb drive, downloading windows from the official media creation tool, writing it to the disk, secure erasing the SSD from bios, completely reinstalling windows onto that SSD, downloading BF3 from the internet, not joining the home network ever, and playing a full public round of metro, going something like 30+ K/D, 2000+ SPM and 6+ KPM with more than 300 kills, as i usually do in BF3. that whole video has no cuts, no edits except a blur over my login credentials when initializing the EA app, and it shows a constantly visible clock in the background. the ultimate proof, without having to play at someone else's house. guess what? i was still being accused of cheating in bf3, and i am still banned on every server. and i know the admins have seen it. it's a stupid battle. feels like a "guilty until proven innocent", but actually you're still guilty even if you prove you're innocent. and at the same time, there are blatant cheaters on the same servers that i'm banned in. it's honestly another classic battlefield moment. as you can see in Enders' streams, the average battlefield player isn't the brightest and the admins represent that pretty well.

He eventually went on to be a pro player and was in the pro player circuit, but I ended up getting banned after a particular game where the enemy team had a few streamers in it. Even though our team was literal diarrhea and we ended up losing, I humiliated those streamers enough that (FROM WHAT I ASSUME) they complained to Hi Rez that I was DEFINITELY a cheater and to BAN ME IMMEDIATELY (despite me having tens of thousands of hours on steam in other games with no ban record, no anything, anywhere, and with no evidence at all). When I woke up the next day my entire account was FUBAR, permabanned for cheating. I reached out to hi-rez, I asked them over and over again... what did I do? And for months I didn't have an answer. I *DID NOT EVEN KNOW THAT I HAD PLAYED AGAINST A BUNCH OF STREAMERS THE PREVIOUS DAY* for months, until another streamer (someone that did not play with those people and did not get along with them) approached me and told me what had (allegedly) happened. In the same game where cheats were still very rudimentary and the cheaters you'd see in games were always EXTREMELY blatant and jittery and VERY OBVIOUSLY NOT HUMAN, the streamers somehow made a case that the very normal looking player with no prior ban history in any game ever was DEFINITELY a cheater, and hi-rez decided WILLY NILLY that they must be right and banned me for that. The real kicker here? Years later I was bored on one day and I wanted to see if I could play Paladins. Guess what? I made an account... and voila. That's it. I was back to playing JUST LIKE THAT. I hooked back up with vahh and played just like nothing had happened. Imagine if I was actually a cheater, yeah? Now imagine, just like in your case, being banned forever for being a dirty cheater, while simultaneously seeing people paying for premium cheat subscriptions and cheating their booties off day in and day out. Training for years and years to be good at fps games just to be compared to people that have no idea how to play whatsoever and just run around the maps aimlessly, no clue as to what they're supposed to be doing. It's offensive. It's foul. And worst of all, in your case, it's a betrayal of trust from the developers that you (may have) believed in. When I was a teenager, I used to love getting hackusations because I found them very funny and I thought it was a great compliment. But as time has gone on and I've gotten older, I just find them extremely annoying now. Even in Deep Rock Galactic, people sometimes join my games and accuse me of aimbotting or wallhacking or whatever, because they can't believe the number of kills I'm getting. Mind you, DRG is a PVM GAME WHERE YOU FIGHT BUGS. there is no PVP interaction at all. The older I get the more I feel that most people just suck at video games and have no desire to even bother getting better, and that is simultaneously probably where most of the cheating problem comes from as well.
