OK I’m gonna say what everyone watching this video is thinking…….. follow the trajectory of the arrows to the ground

the scale of the army is insanely massive. it puts into perspective of ancient warfare where hundreds of thousands of infantry went at it melee style. Rome at its peak could put together at most ~100,000 professional troops, ~200,00 auxiliary. That was consider MASSIVE for the Romans. However, in the same time period, other great empires like Persia who could easily assembly a million soldiers or Han dynasty China in the East who had the most insane amount of military strength: 100,000 heavy shock cavalry, half a million crossbowmen, hundreds of thousands of professional career troops and over million uniform infantry.

I love these videos, especially ones that have these super archers in them. But this one was very frustrating to watch because the entire time I was just hoping he’d let us see where one of those huge volleys of arrows would land down below. I wanted to see that big bunch of arrows flying all the way down and landing on a mass of trolls.

I think Tree Beard would be more upset at man than Saruman in this situation. They had to cut down hundreds of thousands of trees to make all of those arrows.
