It's Year 4 of the Madden 24 Saints Franchise. After two tough seasons forcing us into a rebuild, we're hoping to emerge as a playoff contender once again. With a new Quarterback and exciting offensive additions, could the pieces be in place for the Saints to compete for the division title?
My Franchise on Madden 24 begins with the New Orleans Saints. The Saints offer a unique challenge compared to any other team looking at their future cap space problems and aging roster. The Saints are not a bad team in 2023 at all. But their future could not be anymore problematic as cap restraints will cause them to move on from players, including some of their aging veterans they still rely on.
I aim for a more sim feel to my Franchises. I play on All Madden sliders that promote a more realistic play style. I have developed my own XP sliders to create a more authentic feel to Franchise in terms of developing young players and replacing regressing veterans.
This will be my biggest Madden 24 series, and I'm excited to get the rebuild underway.

Only six players on this team at 80 OVR or better, and only one of them was drafted. That's the problem right there.

That's just how Madden works though with drafted players. Very rarely are you gonna get them into the 80s after one or two seasons. Heck, Bryce Young with superstar dev in this franchise is only now an 84 overall.

exactly, the refusal to trade up for the best prospects and just being satisified with whoever falls is a direct reason why this team isnt sucessful, no free agents are coming to nola and if you arent drafting well you will not maintain talented teams.

Not enough pressure this season on the qb unless it’s a terrible O line but can’t do anything against an elite O line ie Bengals Ravens and Falcons

Few things cane: 1. Why would you trash talk a team that’s red hot with superstars on both sides of the ball. Also knowing they have one of the best defensives anyway you want to judge them. 2. That pass rush, wow did they stay at home? Who knows 3. I'm not going to lie cane, if you want this season to be at least a pretty good one(maybe a playoff birth). Next week is a MUST WIN Love the vids bro

I was against Roby after his slow start, but he has been on an impressive streak. It’s nice to see some young talent on this team.

Juan beard might have single digits pass rush wins in his career so far. I’ve never seen a player so consistently unblocked that also just fails to be impressive in any way shape or form

Doubt a SB is possible with this gameplay. The CPU can only lose by chance tbh. Desmond Ridder hit a 50 yard wheel route off his back foot rolling to the left 😂

I literally cannot remember the last time this team scored at the end when they needed to in order to win. The CPU on the other hand can do this at will.

That morale drop might be the nail in the coffin. The team was already super inconsistent and just barely doing enough on offense to mask Westbrook's weaknesses. Now with everyone including him getting worse they might jsut be cooked. Couple that with an already hot and cold defense taking a step back and I fear the Saints will be in a bunch of shootouts that they dont have the QB to compete in yet.

The sack was actually totally given to him he was unblocked 😂 if he has any value at all he needs to be traded, he is by far the most useless defender I’ve ever seen in madden

Lack of pass rush is just too much to not notice atp. Meanwhile Micah parsons is about to have 30 sacks by himself lmao. The trenches gotta improve for this team to reach its potential. If there’s a olineman in FA interested I think you trade one of the current guys for a pass rusher and get pash rushers regardless

Madden's CPU is so dumb. No running out the clock, no pulling starters, kicking field goals at the end of the game. So dumb and annoying.

We know exactly what to do for this offense to be successful. Now we need to build the defense to allow us to do it. This offense is not gonna win shootouts, they need the defense to make stops.

Which is crazy. Two of the best receivers in the game, a young stud TE, and a QB drafted very early. Offense should do great in shootouts

Secret to beating the Falcons, while they have the trifecta of Ridder, Robinson and Pitts. Play your best 2 man to man corners at safety to take care of Pitts. Play your best man to man safety, and your best man to man fast linebacker at outside linebackers to stop Robinson out of ghe backfield. For whateverr reason, Atlanta never gets stubborn about running the ball. Even if they do, better he gets 125 rushing, than if Ridder throws for 350. Plus, Ridder starts to make mistakes if you frustrate the big plays

When the defense is being consistently inconsistent and you are down 6 with a 4th and 4 kicking a field goal seems like a good way to lose control of the game. (and that's exactly what happened)

It’d be exciting if you tried trick plays more often, including on 4th down instead of simply going for it. I can’t remember last time you went for a fake punt or a fake FG.

love your vids cane but this series just hasn’t done it for me. it’s not your fault at all! the gameplay has been so shaky and unrealistic due to madden being madden. the games are all non stop scoring there’s zero defense being played i actually don’t even think it would matter who you bring in defensively in the offseason there will still be zero plays made on defense. maybe to speed it up and keep people engaged try doing like 2 games per episode like that tank season i think year 3? idk i’ll always watch but just a suggestion appreciate u cane!

When are we going to stop with the end arounds. While part of me likes the mixing up of play calls at best the most yards has been like 7 from pearman mostly due to speed but other than that it’s always a loss of yards.

Cane is actually good at assembling team with what he has to work with. He's just a bad Madden player. His team should easily be 7-3. His play calling is not bad either. It's just bad execution by him. He locks in on one person every time and the computer picks up on it. Word of advice that red route should be your last read except on certain plays.

Love all your content cane, but this series is just proving that cpu vs cpu is the way to go with Madden. Unless you go to mods on pc, this format (playing every game) is just not doing it.
