A dispute between Krzysztof Drabikowski (composer of Litourgiya songs) and Bart Krysiuk (vocalist and visual creative director) began when Krysiuk signed the band to Metal Blade Records in 2017. Subsequently, and for business matters with the label, Krysiuk registered the trademark to 'Batushka', since nobody else was willing to do this. Drabikowski was in strong protest of these commitments, and the relationship between the two members escalated from bad to worse. At this time, Drabikowski was not involving the band members with his new material - even firing some members, including original drummer, Marcin, for criticizing Krzysztof treatment of the band while on tours. In 2018, Krysiuk was being pressed to present new material to the label. He, along with members of the band, recorded an album to fulfill the obligation with Metal Blade. Unfortunately, this was done without involvement of Drabikowski, who did not want to release a new album. Drabikowski responded by filing a lawsuit against Krysiuk. By, the end of 2018, Krysiuk and Drabokowski had parted ways, both claiming to continue with Batushka. Krysiuk and Batushka are performing here at Graspop.

He did not want to continue with the members of the first formation and decided to reformulate the process. At that moment the talentless usurper Bartłomiej Krysiuk stole the name and registered it in his name. The project was never his, so much so that in the decision the Polish court ruled in favor of the founder. A lot of evidence was gathered, including demos without Krysiuk's participation. What an absurd character flaw to defend a guy who steals someone else's work.

​@@rnwtnHow can you defend a bum who steals the name and project from the original owner? The copy is so bad that it can't compose anything worthwhile. It's a shame that the metal scene accepts these usurpers.
