In this video I review the Bauer Cordless Hammer Drill/Driver after using it for 2 whole years of regular use. It's been a great drill over that time and I m quite happy with it. I haven't had any issues with it and its served me pretty well. Its a reasonably good quality drill at a reasonable price.

The hammer drill was my first Bauer purchase. I needed it specifically to drill holes in concrete. It worked flawlessly in the 4 holes I drilled initially, and I've used to drill in bricks and concrete multiple times since. I was sold and have added to my Bauer collection. That's how I found you, and happy for it. Happy Thanksgiving All.

I've had mine for three years and it's done a little metal and a lot of wood. It still works great, my circular saw is also almost 3 years old, I got it right after Christmas, it still works great, I have batteries from the same time, only one 1.5ah has failed, all of the others still hold a charge just fine. Been very happy with all my Bauer stuff. I love that the chuck is all metal, the whole tool felt quality when I first picked it up. No regrets in buying Bauer.

I'm FINALLY getting to some older comments, I've been getting like 10-20 a day and have a hard time keep up right now. The metal chuck sets it apart from some other affordable DIY brands I think. It's a good tool set for sure. I am going to be finishing up a review on the whole tool system here shortly.

I used to only buy Makita cordless tools. Then a Harbor Freight store opened in my city. I have been to HF in the past, but it seems to me, after going in the new store, they have really made some major improvements. I saw the cordless tool section, and was instantly impressed with the build quality of the cordless stuff, so I decided to try it. So far, I have the cordless torque wrench, cordless angle grinder, corded angle grinder, and now the hammer drill.. all Bauer. They are working great, and have impressive power and durability! And for less than HALF the price! Way to go HF!!!

I've liked my Bauer stuff, and have most of the 20v tools. I've liked them all mostly. Looking forward to these brushless line tools that they have been releasing. Recently I got the 20v oscillating tool, and have been pretty impressed.

I just bought the brushless impact driver a week or so ago and have used it a few times. It is absolutely amazing! All the power you could ever need in an impact driver and it has 3 speeds and upgraded front facing led lights that are super bright. Well worth the 49 bucks paid for it

My wife's classroom has concrete walls - I bought one of these specifically so I could hang things in her classroom - works just fine with masonry bits and used in the hammer mode.

Bauer is really good for doing basic and maybe some intermediate things, its not the BEST but forsure not the worst especially if your on a budget.

I have used this same exact drill to drill through really thick steel oil pipe posts for fencing and it's a tough job and takes a while but this drill has got the job done for me very well, it helps to use some of the bigger batteries so your battery don't run out on you and to use strong cobalt metal drill bits because otherwise the titanium or the black oxide can and have broke on me and the cobalt can snap on you also but it holds up better but this drill has been great for me so far and I've used it a lot, I'm curious how the 20v brushless hammer drill driver from Hercules is in comparison but I haven't got any of the Hercules stuff as of yet and I'm not sure if I will or not because Bauer has been good to me even though people consider it not really a top of the line brand but I think for me just at home using it occasionally and sometimes a lot has been pretty good.

I tried to use mine in hammer mode in some concrete with a fair amount of aggerate concrete with stones. It may have been the bits, but it wasn't enough hammer drill for concrete with a lot of rock in it. But for cinder block, bricks and concrete without a lot of rocks it is probably fine.

How much torque does it have on the 1 through 21 settings? It’s supposed to have a max 37 ft lbs but idk. Can’t find any info on it within the instruction manual.

Have you bought the brushless Bauer drill driver yet? I don't believe they have a brushless hammer drill driver from Bauer in 20 V yet but they do with Hercules but I haven't gotten any Hercules tools as of yet and I'm contemplating on if I should or not because I have a lot of the Bauer 20v already along with a lot of their batteries and chargers but if I do get any Hercules 20v tools most likely their 20 V brushless hammer drill driver will probably be the first one that I get.

@@Gottacacheemalll use the fast speed (2) for drilling, with the chuck set to the drill icon... select #1, slow speed when using screw driver bits, also set the clutch to an appropriate torque number so you don't over-tighten or strip any screws or bolts. hope that helps

@DereksWorkshopAndProjects
@DereksWorkshopAndProjects 2 жыл бұрын
It’s not made to take a jug nut off. The hammer function is drilling into concrete, not an impact wrench. Clutch setting 1 is the weakest clutch setting too. Unless you just a troll, I’d invite you to really go read the entire users manual.
