The next evening, after the news, my daughter said get dressed, we are going out..and her Dad, my ex husband, a man I’ve barely spoken to in 20 years, except about the kids..arrived and picked us up and took us to a special screening of The Man Who Fell To Earth, and played Bowie all the way into the theatre and back, but we didn’t exchange a word. Anyone who knows me just simply knows that as boring, uninteresting and plain as I am, I exist on the Plane of Bowie. Best friend I ever had.

Whoever is the director of photography of this 70s movie is pretty damn good at his/her job.

Bauhaus/ Pete Murphy were superb and heavily influenced by Bowie like many artists in the late 70s/ early 80s. I like the idea of this video to the song as I love both artists but theres no real connection.

Many sweet good hearted people appreciating your work and bravely saying what it made them feel or how either the film or song, the artists involved in either, or the pairing of the two affected them. Then the loathesome, petty know it all's and dream crushers with nothing better to do then correct them or tell them they are stupid and their feelings worthless, neither Bowie nor Bauhaus would be impressed and such behavior is neither brave nor of value. Actually my preferred way to see this film. This look of this film is extraordinary, thanks to cinematographer Tony Richmond. The dialogue and other aspects of the film are lackluster as compared to the cinematography. Visuals of Bowie by Richmond with great music played over. Gold.

I am in awe of the ever frightening sex appeal of Peter Murphy, and from the moment I saw David Bowie, heard his music, and saw him in several movies, I have been enchanted! The Man Who Fell To Earth was a great movie...much like Velvet Goldmine. You have to watch it with the understanding that it is an abnormal movie because Bowie doesn't do normal...EVER! Then, you will fall in love with him, and enjoy the film. I am so into Bowie that I have every film he was in (even if it was only a cameo appearance), but I don't have this one. Well, all 'I Want is Everything!'

I had never heard of this band until I went to a Pearl Jam concert in I think April of 98 at MSG in NYC.. On our way into the city from Long Island, me and a friend were surrounded by these very strange people dressed like Vampires on their way to a Halloween ball.. I asked around and people told me they were going to see "Bauhaus". The Concert at MSG let out and I caught the last train out of NYC with this same crew of Vampires.. As soon as I stepped off the train in Huntington I turned to my friend and said.. "I hope you realize we went to the wrong show tonight."
