» ABOUT: Vintage Story is a voxel based survival game, much like Minecraft, but with added engineering complexities, higher survival requirements and a whole host of eldritch horrors too! » ABOUT THE UPDATE: I am now playing the 1.19.3 update. This update adds goats, deer, traps, better prospecting and a whole host of other changes, here's the patch notes: bit.ly/RhadVS. I've also changed the new minimap to the original one using this command line: "/worldconfigcreate bool colorAccurateWorldmap true" and updated the server settings to the new default which means making tree saplings grow at normal speed rather than half speed, which is the new 'standard'.

Nice to see the shears being used as bushwhacking tools. It seems to help a lot in going through all of those thick bushes.

For armor, the type (lamellar, brigandine, chain, scale, plate) and material (copper, bronze, iron, steel) provide different values! Copper plate and steel plate have the same speed/healing/hunger/ranged debuffs, but much different protection values. The material tier is incredibly important, enemies are all tiered and if they are above your armor tier you take extra damage. Steel is tier 4 and nothing is above tier 4 damage iirc. You can't make every metal into every armor set, but generally lamellar

Nice, thanks for pointing that out. I've never noticed that. I always assumed the higher tier metal armor had higher debuff. Never even noticed it was the same regardless of the metal.

You're not backseating at all, but also I knew this all and sort of went over everything you just said around the time I made my tinbronze lamellar armor which was a while back.

28c you lose consciousness and 21c you die. Humans tolerate cold actually fairly well ( well maybe not in our digits )

I am not sure which it was but apparently its a thing in 1.19 so possibly a feature? I don't recall reading about it in the patch notes however.
