Bay Breeze (Builder's Square, Sheng Yuan/Alaska) 52" ceiling fan in brushed nickel. This is another ceiling fan that I pulled out of the trash during Cleanup Week 2017. When I first saw this thing, I thought it was a piece of junk that I'd probably donate or part out. However, when I got it home, I noticed through the top that it had the signature Sheng Yuan cast motor. Then I flipped it over and saw the AMAZING modern-90s blade stencil, and knew this was a keeper. It was originally flush mounted, and must've had some sort of light kit installed as the switch cap was missing. I prefer downrod mount and had one that matched basically perfectly, and was able to utilize a Hampton Bay switch cap which also matches the finish really well. It's a pretty great fan, good air movement and pretty quiet. Bearings are FLAWLESS, absolutely silent and super smooth as you can see by the spindown time. Absolutely another of my favorite finds for this year, just so totally spot on with my aesthetic.
Also, side note. I'm playing around with new lighting to illuminate the fan from below, and this is my first video utilizing it. I welcome your feedback, whether you think it's simply better, or too harsh, or not enough. Whatever you think. I think it looks pretty good, certainly better than it has been since I moved into this space, but I always want to cater to the viewer. This also might not have been the greatest fan to experiment on for the first try either, since it's kinda all reflective and has some dark components. I'd love to hear what you think in all of my upcoming videos, keep the feedback coming so that I can continue to fine tune.
