In commemoration of the 40th death anniversary of Benigno "Ninoy" S. Aquino Jr. today, August 21, 2023, here is a BBC-styled tribute to him with the patriotic anthem "Bayan Ko", a song that is widely sung during the EDSA Revolution in 1986 and is connected to the struggles of Ninoy.

A roar of the bullet echoes that time and it bring shock that make the filipino wake up his death make a step to overthrow the tyrant truly a hero of a time sadly his name was getting forgatten sadly even getting demonized may his idea live among us and we must stive to attain democracy in our country
