Hey Guys, make sure you read this! Critical Information about this build as of patch 1.12.3 There seems to be two bugs with Bayle's Tyranny, details below: 1. The Roar Medallion does not actually work with Bayle's Tyranny in the current patch. I assume this is a bug that will be fixed in an upcoming patch. You can feel free to replace this with a different talisman if you're only worried about buffing this incantation. 2. Bayle's Tyranny seems to only inflict the main damage hitbox on a single nearby target. Any other nearby targets will still be damaged by the residual magma, but not the main hitbox. This means if you are surrounded by 3 players, you can only OHKO a single player, and it seems to be pretty random which player it is. The good news is, the spell is so powerful that you don't even need the damage boost of the Roar Medallion to pull off the OHKO!

here's what i used based on your video: 1 dc seal +9 (dont have a second unfortunately), blue dancer charm,fire scorpion charm, flock's canvas talisman, ralisman of dread, flame grant me strength, rock heart, fire boosting physick. with just that I was able to check roughly 7300 damage on the incantation, i chose the grafted dragon as my offhand weapon since it hits pretty quick but has ranged fire damage if your opponents trying to back off to heal. feel free to test this with your full build and let know how it does.

I also recommend flower gavel mace as it scales with arcane and it's ash of war deals massive dmg and reduces lightning damage negation on enemies

Flower gavel is an interesting choice, and it is pretty flavorful, but in practice I'd much rather spend that mana casting a dragon breath or a OHKO Bayle's Tyranny which is the whole point of this build anyway. Not much reason to try to lower their lightning damage negation with an easily dodged projectile when they're already getting killed instantly.

@@RedPhisher175 I actually tried it for a couple of these clips, I didn't think the cast speed diff between beloved and Radagon was noticable enough to justify negative defenses considering you have to hyper armor tank with this build

@@VonSchnitz It isn't a true combo but its one of those spell combos where they go into each other without delay. If they get hit by dragon claw roll poorly towards you Bayle's Tyranny will punish bad rolls with monstrous damage. Love your videos Von, enjoy :D

Hold on, did you do damage testing on this build? Could've sworn it was bugged which caused the roar medallion to not boost the damage? Unless the recent patch shadow fixed it, I'm not sure that talisman is good to put on. It wouldn't do anything for the build.

@@headlessjim6206 I'm pretty sure the bug is that only one player standing next to the Bayle's Tyranny caster takes full damage, everyone else takes nothing or minimal damage, which is still an issue. From my own testing and what I've seen, roar medallion does boost the damage

well it would still guaranteed one shot, probably wouldn't need to dedicate your physik flask to damage or perhaps not your talismans either since at 300 you'd be able to pump up faith and arcane even more. would take some experimentation!

Well, Greyoll's roar can hit many targets for full damage. For some reason, Bayle's Tyranny can only hit 1 target for full damage. Not sure if it's a bug or not, but for the time being, greyoll's roar does have that advantage

That sounds pretty interesting! But thinking about it, it honestly seems worse than just baiting someone to hit you and going for the naked bayle's tyranny - it has hyper armor and a massive AoE hitbox so if someone hits me, they guaranteed die. Much more difficult to land the maddening hand ash first, it's so slow, close range, and lacks any hyper armor whatsoever. In any situation where I could feasibly land maddening hand, I could just use bayle's tyranny and kill them outright Edit: Thinking about your madness idea, I think using nanaya's torch or the spread X-bow with sleep darts would be an even better way to guarantee the Bayle's tyranny or Bayle's flame lightning off of a status

I may be mistaken but from testing with a friend, the roar medallion did not seem to buff this incant. Regardless, im loving thjs incant rn. Seems bugged where the explosion can hit 1 person maximum a lot of the times. Hope they fix it

yeah it does seemed bugged in both ways you mention. I thought the roar medallion was increasing the damage based on my testing vs the troll in front of Godrick's room, but I think there is just variability in the damage due to the magma that spurts out. I will add a pinned comment to clear up the confusion for anyone else

it's a bit slower, but it has significantly less end lag and you can chain cast out of it. So Pros and Cons

there are many ways to do it. beat the boss twice on another playthrough, have someone trade you the other, dupe the heart of bayle, or cheat engine yourself all items. I use cheat engine to quickly make builds. Only way to create this many builds and make videos like this daily.

This character is on NG+5. However, it is also a PC character that I used cheat engine to grant a copy of all items and spells for the purpose of build making and video creation. If you wanted to obtain both spells normally, you would need to play through on NG+

Is 58 vigor the softcap? I was under the assumption that the softcap was 60.

health scaling tapers off at 58, and then suddenly again at 60. You only miss 29 HP at 58 vig vs 60 vig (1871 HP vs 1900 HP). 60 vig is the true soft cap since you only get 6 HP per level after that, but prior to 58 you get 20+ HP per level whereas 58 to 59 only gives you 16 HP and 59 to 60 only gives you 13 HP.

Cheat engine character on PC. I use it to give myself unlimited larval tears and smithing stones so essentially I can just respec and use whatever I want. It's the only way I'm able to do this and make quality videos this quickly. Otherwise, I would need to play through the DLC 20 different times, half ass the builds, and rush the videos.

Problem is you wont 1 shot a 60vigor player with anything that boosts health and they will just shred you while your in the air. I was duelling a guy using this setup and could just run in tank the hit and shred him. Im amazing how you were invading in the dlc and people have that little vigor 😂 really goes to show the vast majority of the player base doesnt know how to build a character

well ofc a build like this is not going to work well 1v1 against skilled players in a dueling setting. It's a gimmick one shot build for invasions and it does work extremely well in that scenario. When optimized like explained in the vid, bayle's tyranny easily does 2K damage. There are a couple kills in this set of clips where I hit 1900-2k damage which does kill 60 vig players if their only other HP boost is erdtree's favor +2.

what do you mean by on its own? Like, is there a reason to use it if you're not using dragon communion incantations? There is absolutely no reason and you should not do that. It's strictly a debuff to you if you're not benefiting from the +20% dragon communion damage

No, I don't think they did yet. I was mistaken when I tested against the troll outside of Godrick's boss room. It did more damage with the roar medallion on, but I think it's just because of the variability on the magma damage that spurts out, the initial burst damage was unaffected

You sure Radagon Icon's doing anything here? IIRC there's only one base game dragon communion incantation that's actually affected by it, all the others just ignore dex entirely

it might only boost the magma aftershock, not completely sure tbh. I tested the full damage on the troll outside of Godrick's boss room and I know the talisman of dread gave me more damage overall

I use CE to give myself all items so I can make build videos. You can easily obtain both yourself by doing the same, going to NG+ and defeating Bayle again, having someone trade you, or by duping the item.

it does crazy damage, but it comes with the tradeoff of being a glass cannon that dies extremely quickly to anything and Bayle's Tyranny is short range so if people simply roll away it doesn't connect.
