That opening camera move and the tower rotating without affecting them and the perfectly timed music... sublime

@True Roman I hope Bayonetta 3 gets finished. But Bayonetta 2 was kinda disappointing. So I fear Bayonetta 3 will follow the same sad disappointing destiny. While Bayonetta 1 probably will be one of the best games ever made.

@ga35am3 жыл бұрын
@@FagatronUchiha if by fire you mean disaster, yeah. Hahaha. Sorry, Bayo 2 was made for dumb kids. Bayo 1 was made for smart kids. Do you disagree with that? Bayo 2 has a robot mode. This should be enough argument. I could invoke all the players that mastered Bayo 1 and have the opinion that Bayo 2 is definitely not as good as Bayo 1, but you will probably dismiss all of them. I could point to all content made about Bayo 1 and the lack of the same content about Bayo 2, and you will simply ignore. There is no comparison. Bayo 2 could have been amazing. But it is not. They trivialized the game. It is not as challenging as the first one. Because it was made or it is like it was made for dumb kids. The only thing that it is better in 2 than in 1 is Rodin fight. That's it. Everything else is worse. The chests are kinda nice. Aesir and his both parts, Loki and Loptr, are terrible characters, there is nothing divine about them, I mean, Aesir is just a bipolar with double personality, Loki is a cliché amnesia, Loptr is a cliché psychopath. And I still like Loki, but I have to admit that's what he is. You said Bayo 2 brought recognition. Sorry, but Bayonetta didn't need that and deserved a lot more. Games are suffering a lot of frustrating developments. We saw that with Resident Evil 3 Remake, with Plants vs Zombies, with Resident Evil Resistance, with several games that have money grabbing traps, etc.

Ugh.... I'll NEVER forget knowing nothing about this game and seeing this opening for the first time, was INSTANTLY hooked AND I was drunk! The way the way it starts as an old film with the sepia color and the music sounding like it's being played on a old vinyl, the camera zooming out from the full moon showing these mysterious creatures fly toward you, seeing the backs of their heads then the camera flips around to the front and the we get thrown (literally) into the scene by getting clear audio and picture, the then zooms out again and shows a clock tower rotating mid fall off the side of the cliff and these bitches are UNBOTHERED!. THEN THE MUSIC, THE NARRATIVE AND THE FIGHT all while Not knowing wtf is going on..... I was never so blown away for the opening of a game and then to find out that wasnt even a prologue!?!?! Masterpiece...

Normal video game companies: Let's give the player a tutorial to first understand the game before anything else, right? PlatinumGames: The tutorial? Nah, just plop them right onto a falling clock tower, that should be good practice.

This is a bad opening: It throws you into a complex battle situation without any knowledge on how to play. While you are confused on how to play, the exposition is completely missed as you are more concerned on how to do shit. You can't see anything you're doing not allowing you to learn gameplay early. This honestly should have been an opening cutscene instead. Edit: 2 years later and i still think Bayonetta is an overrated franchise.

I can see that, did it happen to you? I found it very enjoyable and quite intuitive, the game made it very easy for me. But it is true that not everyone will have the exact same experience.
@ahrithenine-tailedfox12453 жыл бұрын
Not the same to me. I mean I was pushed into these kinds of situations when I was young when it comes to video games. If I can move myself around, I can press buttons to fight or do stuff. Pretty self explanatory Hell I knew that I didint need to sweat it because these situations I know I feel powerful even without fully knowing it. But since I already knew Bayonetta was a hack n Slash/Beat em Up, I already knew to do combos the minuite I started moving without worrying on HOW to do shit, because the goal is just DO shit. Its pretty perfect for me. A gaming staple that gives a badass intro

This is a genius opening. Putting the gamer in a "learn by yourself" situation. Also gives the opportunity to see the Wicked Weaves, which contrast with the lack of them in the first stage Vestibule, the gamer that is a good observer will notice that. This game have so many good things. There are some few mistakes, but they become irrelevant because it is so freaking great to fight. My dream is to make my version of this game, trying to improve it.
