With the amount of time I’ve played with this game so far, I’m happy to say I’m enjoying it. Controlling Cereza and Cheshire reminds me of Astral Chain, in which you control two characters at once, here it’s used well in both combat and puzzle solving. The voice performances are top notch, especially the narrator which reminds me of a elementary school teacher reading a story out loud to the class. Overall I’m happy with Bayonetta Origins.

the game is so pleasing to the eye with the art style and gameplay! the music is charming and just has been a lot of fun so far

Do you need to play this before Bayonetta 1? Since it's a prequel to the entire series (not JUST Bayonetta 1) I'd assume it'd be good to play this before jumping into the other games, but if someone could please let me know regardless, that'd be great! Thanks!

Not really but I think it would be an interesting way to play the entire series since most played this game last technically. I think you're good either way. This has a demo so why not give it a shot and see if you vibe with it.

I loved the demo of bayonetta origins. Once it's on sale I'll get it together with bayonetta 3. Gotta love me some good old platinum games Ps. I forgot to mention that the artsyle reminds me of some of my favorite psvita games like gravity rush

Omg you're so right about the gravity rush comparison, now I have the itch to play it. I was just thinking about how that game had solid vertical world building when I saw the new Tears of the Kingdom trailer.
