I didn’t watch dd4l so I didn’t know of cam until she joined the dolls and there was talks of controversy. But cams energy was refreshing and when she danced the team matched her energy. I like Ari too, but I feel like Ari would’ve have better led a team of seasoned vets this year, while cam would’ve killed this season with crabs. Its all about how she presented herself. Now Ari will go down as having some of the best field shows though! I will not take that away from her.

I love Airi and Cam so much. They both did an amazing job this season. They had to overcome a very young team and they did it with style and grace. I agree give them their 10s now. It’s the end of an era and the beginning of a new chapter. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Airi and Cam because the sky is the limit.

Camryn looked more comfortable leading than in the tail spot. I still liked her as tail but you can tell she was limited. With being a Doll tail, you either have to be KNOWN for a delicate, softness or ALLOWED to be out-of-the norm for it to really translate. Though Cam is very sensual, she's not soft & we've seen her as the total opposite. Many people are just used to seeing her in powerhouse mode & prefers her to dominate. I still admire her for going out of her comfort zone tho bc Doll style is far from easy when coming from a competitive background. She has true range

My thoughts: Many can have the dance, leadership & technical skills but not everyone has the Charisma and fierceness required to be a Captain. When you look at the Great ones, such as Danielle, Janae, Dominique, Kevia, Brianni (in high school and now) and others... they all have that IT girl vibe. They engage the camera, move with purpose in their own way to catch and keep your attention. They didn't just throw counts with perfection they put that FINESSE AND FLAIR on it. Their energy is infectious and you won't deny that you have just been entertained!! You can still be traditional, technical and well trained and controlled... but in the end, the full package is what is memorable.

Thank you, Cam for representing yourself so well in the public eye from such a young age - I wouldn't have discovered HBCU dance teams without seeing your DD4L journey. I loved Cam's energy in all the clips, especially the last one in this video - just pure joy, to me. Arielle brought a lot to the season in terms of pushing the envelope in the field shows - and the entire team was there backing her up, count for count. I wish her new counts were used more in the season - they were cute to me. I think I got a lot of the same "pure joy" energy from Arielle this season (just my opinion), but I think in Cam's other clips leading, there was also some "also, do not try me" energy, which has a different vibe. The band always sounded amazing, but is it just me or did they lean really heavily on the super slow songs this season? Great for demonstrating musicianship, but downplays the momentum for the stands, IMO. I hope the team can continue to push the envelope on the field, but also do that for the stands. I saw a couple doll-like and stingette-like arm and body actions in a lot of teams this year (hey, it looks nice on them - no shade), but maybe that is a cue for the Dolls to up the ante within their style (or within the technical ability of the dancers) in the stands. Because these field shows were un-touch-a-ble. In the meantime, I'm patiently waiting for a solo feature for Cam on TRIN...

I saw both Auntie Bougie Ms. Dixon and Dani Stamper in Camryn! Ari and Cam led the team strong. I wish they were co-captains...that would have been amazing! Congratulations ladies!

Essence is a powerhouse. I just love her 😍 And my thoughts on the Dolls were they had the best field shows out of all the dance lines but the stands were borderline boring and the energy wasn’t there for me 🤷🏾‍♀️ Airielle has this milky, if not whimsical way of dancing and that’s cute and all but there needs to be versatility. Some songs deserve a different type of energy (like Knocking Heads Off) and attitude and it wasn’t there

cam is everything we want in a dancer from the world of hbcu and more. the respect he has for this discipline is so great that he overflows with passion with each movement. She is a born leader and it shows when dancing. I hope she achieves all her goals and objectives and we will be here to support her as the Fabolous dancing dolls that she is ... Ariele did what he had to do and although honestly it was something that we hoped would happen with this leadership, the work is applauded. Let's hope for a signifcant evolution of this team for 2022 (although I would honestly like to see Camryn giving it his all) and I think the foundations were laid for next year to be a great season.

For me Orchesis got this Bayou Classic on lock. Dolls I need to see new routines in the stands for next year since I only saw like one maybe the whole season. But I must say to the dolls you all did a good job I just thought i was going to see something new in the stands. Also Arielle and Cam held it down and led the crabs through the storm graciously.

I love Airi as captain personally. I think she was held back for obvious reasons. The only thing is I don’t think we got to see Airielle’s identity as captain. Some games I got Gabby. Some I got KP. Then at the pep rally I got Searra. Essence is just iconic. Would have loved to see her on a different team but she did what she came to do.

Camryn is Danielle trained and Gabby raised so of course she was going to give it to you. As for Airielle I feel as though she babied her crabs unlike some other captains. As we seen in 15 Mel was constantly messing up, and Kayla continued to roll the counts no matter what and Mel just had to roll with it and practice more. That's what Airielle should have done, but she did amazing as captain most of y'all need to realize that we're not always going to get a Danielle, Gabby, or Jada as captain.

They didn’t give Cam captain because she was on tv, that’s how I feel. She was the better selection for Captain and everybody knows it. Arielle should’ve been the tail. Cam would’ve had this team together.

Arielle was 🔥🔥🔥🔥 as captain. Cam's fierceness should not be pitted against Arielle. They can both be great. Arielle is a dancer's dancer and earned every bit of the captainship. Arielle had to bring a team out of a pandemic and build a new team. The other piece to this is that the band and dolls had a lot during the week---Saints Game, BOTB, Parade, Gameday. Thats alot! It seems like people are never satisfied.

I really wish you would’ve reviewed the Dolls field show because CHILE! Best field shows in HBCU all season, and I might dare to say that Arielle has had the best field shows of all Doll captains. I think you were right that the Dolls choose to focus on fields more than stands, but also looked at their stand performances from like the TSU and FAMU game, Arielle was GIVING! Nonetheless, I’m so proud of both Arielle and Cam, and they will be missed!

Energy was def up when Cam led but this your one shot in four years to lead, you better go off! But I definitely loved seeing Airielle as tail. Hell that was the best tail moment we’ve seen this season! But y’all know southern wasn’t gonna let Cam be captain. So Airielle was in an odd position and more so made to be captain. Glad they were able to do all four years. 🤷🏾‍♀️

The dolls needed one more heavy hitter to balance the team out. They should’ve kept Lindsey to help since they were so crab heavy. I really believe that would’ve made a difference.
