It's Ramadan month in Malaysia, which means that all the Muslims in the country are fasting. During this month, there are many Bazar Ramadhan open, where you find delicious local Malay food.
My friend Lan invited me to visit one of these Ramadan Markets and to join him for Buka Puasa. Buka Puasa means the moment you can eat after a day of fasting. We had a great time!

Awesome video Nick ! Keep creating contents like this as bridge of cultural understanding, in a country called Malaysia. Malaysia is imperfect, but there are beauties depending whether a person have " honey bee " type of eyes, or " flies " type of eyes.

Hi Nick..the main significance behind breaking the fast with dates is to we emulate the sunnah/practice by our Prophet Muhammad besides the fact that dates are a good source of energy after a long day of fasting. So we believe that by following the sunnah, we'll be rewarded more by God especially in Ramadhan as the rewards multiply even more in this holy month.
