Hi mate, great video! I have a bmw 330d f30 with 2 problems! When i pull off my drive way turning the steering wheel 75% either way from centre, the car is clunking bad until the steering wheel is centre and driving straight. I also have the knock when i turn the steering wheel slightly left and right for testing! Any chance i can bring her to you?

Hi just wondering I have a bmw f30 when I lock the wheel to the right when turning on a bend there is a knocking sound only sometimes but no other sounds or noises from the rack other then that could this be the problem ?

Hello, great video ! Do you think this part is compatible with a BMW 5 Series F07 GT because i have the same issue but can't find this piece for my car ? I always find for 3 series/4 series and X3/X4 but none for the 5 F10/F07 Thank you

Hello could you please help me i got my done and the sound didnt go away still knocking sound the inly think changed the steering wheel is more sporty thats good but the knocking part is still there i got it done by bmw and they said i need a new steering rack so could you please advice anything ??

My missus M135i drove me insane trying to find this knock. Tried all sorts then found this repair kit. Had to make my own tool out of some 5mm plate and some bolts. 😂

I don’t have a knocking sound however my steering wheel just blocks and really struggles to move I did put a newer shape steering wheel on it however if I turn the car on and off the steering wheel goes back to normal was wondering if you could help me

Got a knocking on my g21 3 series touring went to BMW and they said the whole steering rack needs replacing 😮 want to charge us 4k would this be a similar issue? Car is currently only on 23k miles

Try to move your wheel left to right engine off and you should hear the knocking if you have the same issue

You forgot to put the little rubber grommet back in the centre of the cap

i did mine today, the new bush has got stuck, not fully seated and now i cant get it out, yes it was put in correct, its fully waged in there, going have to book it into a shop to see if they can get out the new stuck bush if not new rake

Got this part replaced by a "reputable" garage and within 1 week the knocking came back. What could that mean? I need a new rack or the guys didn't tighten the cap enough as they should have done?

Mark the cap to body with a cross then Give it 1/4 turn more

Does it knock when u accelerate from stationary? And also when u release gas at low speed?

@@stevecoe6639 im encountering this too but when i go to wshop, they tell my steering rack is still ok. Not sure tho. Still no idea what to check, one wshop asked me to replace the thrust control arm. Did u fix it?

@fluffyosj10 no I havent yet, I'm taking it to the garage in thursday, it's still under warranty so they will have to fix what ever it is, when I know what it is I'll let you know ok mate
