I am six generation Mississippian, black cultural Anthropologist who grew up hearing and dancing to Mr. Albert, as we called him. WE southern distinguish between the 2 KINGS. I wanted to say when Mr. Albert and his guitar rocked, if you witness this particular style of blues ---you without any reseersvation you experiences these two different and distinct musicians at the highest form of their craft. MASTERS> . Now King B, announces he's in town, now the good times rollin with different styles/vibes, messages, story telling, kick ass musicians, the horns, brass, good lord. As the Master Funk master, the classical musical style of Mr. George Clinton, these guys were tight on on the same page, every hair in its proper order. . Over the years as I have participation in blue culture, this video is my second time seeing Mr. Albert loose. I In the 80s, I saw him one night in Holly Springs, Mississippi , home to the HBC Rust College, with the late great MS Denise LaSall, a Slow gin small setting, Mr. Albert took out his TEETH , sho he did. ha ha honey that night, the Fish cent hit eh air and snuff juice as every were" Ms. KoKo Taylor and Willie Dixon, Chicago Blues. in other words, it was on.

Two nails and a cable, hammered into a tight spot, wall to floor- and Albert King starts to learn or maybe release what his soul would give us. Master class of blues, vocals, ax and arrangements, along with BB King, another top player such the same yet so very different, I love every blend of how the original regions and times gave us when these cats play in tandem and with precise yet reckless abandon. Trust the blue instinct and play!!! Mine is to listen for awhile, listen over many times looking for that blind spot I didn't get full tilt, as there is more going on than one listen can take in. Time connects the eyes of the hidden Kings. These cats rule the blues kingdom. Building up from a shake to a quake, rocking our hearts and souls. Words fall short in description and I dare no more verse on line as that can be taken wrong. I dig so deep, the sun shines in from the underground; I dig so wide, the horizon can not hold us from the tidal nature of our heavy heavy emotional being. 'Nuff said, while I listen yet again. The world has the blues today in a very deep and serious way. I can't ask why we can't behave better, when I already know the answer is that we can. Be willful for survival and strong enough to offer peace. Even a man of peace comes to know, that to accept any peace, it comes in small degrees, the ends must justify the means. Hard to take when we feel atrocities abound. Love is the ultimate, yet survival has its demands. Bless us all, that we may learn better when and how to live together. For those that object to a peaceful world, there is nothing polite and decent for me to say here. Only once I would offer, BEWARE! From that we do as we must. Be vigilante and be as joyous as one can to offset what grief can be offset, while the mass of it, has to be dealt with. Pray and shine, for the best result we may find. Lets make this a better world, I say, as I negotiate my way through the maze of the Minotaur. Two nails and a cable- yes oh yes, Albert King gives me faith that everything is possible. BB reminds me, Never make a move too soon. Nor too late. Blessings to us all... ~RaVen~ heavy of heart and hopeful of spirit.

Fkn EXCELLENT! He could tune his strings, adjust the mic and change guitars knob settings all at the same time and never miss a note, lyric or a beat, and guitars had no locking tuners, coil splitting/coil tapping/push pull knobs and pups, and he played through a cheap amp and rig. He was a baaaaaaaad mfr.

The BB King portion of this will knock you out. Sometimes because he is so well known and is referenced so much throughout the last 50 years of music history, its easy to write him off as more of a "name brand" than an authentic blues master. but, lo and behold, this was not the case. he mastered the music completely first, then got famous. He communicates with the audience at a level that very few can. its something very special. its a gift from God, that's the only way to explain it. I always use the word "sublime" to describe his playing. its so perfect, every note carefully placed, like a golden nugget!!
