Actually, all of the crowns looked like "korona ngmga santo/poon". The red velvet part was removed in 1990 although the crowns were all replaced in the 1996 edition.

I just had some discussion with other pageant fans on why ABS-CBN produced more titles in the Big Four international pageant appearances for the Philippines in their BB Pilipinas coverage in their six years starting in 2011 than GMA did from 1983, 1984 and 1989-2010. Kasi, at one point, GMA didn't have anybody placed in Miss Universe between Miriam Quiambao's 1999 MU 1st RU finish and Venus Raj's 2010 MU 4th RU finish. Meanwhile, ABS-CBN era BB Pilipinas produced three Big Four crowns in their six years and had all but one placed in both Miss Universe and Miss International. I also saw it was from 1992-2010 for GMA when it comes to hosting BB Pilipinas.

@@joesakic91 here we go again. A stupid assumption of pageant fan. It has nothing to do with the TV network. GMA and ABS-CBN never involved in choosing of winners for Binibining Pilipinas. They are just broadcast media partners of BPCI. And the reasons there were more winners during ABS-CBN broadcast, it was because of the training camps of the candidates and also BPCI became more selective in choosing candidates after Venus Raj placement in the Miss Universe. BPCI raised their bars in choosing Philippines's representatives to International Pageants. While the reasons why the Philippines had few placements in the past. It was because, candidates had little trainings and preparations compared nowadays. You know these kind of Theories about GMA and ABS-CBN and BPCI were made by Toxic Kapamilya fans who wanted to give all the winning and placement credits to the Network.

Kung ang basehan mo lang sa pagsasabi nito ay ang panonood sa TV at YT ng Q n A na ilang segundo lang at hindi ang totoong pakikisalamuha at pakikipag-usap sa kanila, napakaling KABOBOHAN ng pinagsasabi mo.

I was there inside the Big Dome and RG fans had crossed the line of decency and heckling other candidates while gliding on-stage, instead of just cheering for Ruffa.
