Both are valuable degrees. The difference is created by the students who are presenting them in front of the employer.

I'd appreciate if you answered these questions: 1) what's your opinion on some people calling bba a "scam" ? 2) What are the job prospects abroad for Bangladeshi BBA graduates ? Is finding opportunities hard even for those who have majored in a specific field ? (accounting/ finance) I'm asking this since a lot of people keep saying "get a degree in cse/ anything tech or science related and you'll have more scopes globally, but i personally don't think just getting a degree in a subject like cse is enough to get job as easily as people say unless you spend 4 years teaching yourself the skills you'll need in your job life. I enrolled for an engineering discipline on a whim and now kind of regretting it cz i really don't think it's for me. Making a dumb little game/ website/ app for myself purely for my own enjoyment and out of boredom is one thing, but i don't think i can handle doing this as a career, on daily basis for the rest kf my life. I'm only realizing it now and don't know what to do rn

BBA is a useful degree. But you should do it from a good business school and have good specialisation. Getting a job abroad depends on many other factors. You have to get a qualification from overseas to qualify and be competent to get jobs. Accounting Finance are good specialisations and still have demands overseas.

MIS is good but there are more contemporary courses these days. The concept was of MIS is getting old as a whole. It’s more data oriented these days. Chose something that has strong focus towards data, digital marketing etc.

I don’t think the real estate sector in Bangladesh has developed and requires specialised degree. I’d suggest BBA.

Here is what I replied to another student who asked about Barendra university: The question whether it’s good is relative to several factors such as - your location, budget, future plans. Overall Barendra would be a low ranked university in the private university categories. The academic pool doesn’t include highly qualified scholars with foreign degrees. So make your mind based on these factors.

Yes they are the same in most cases. Some universities have these courses separately but not in Bangladesh.

Yes MBA degree will give you market value in general. But I’d suggest to choose a major on contemporary topics like business analytics, supply chain, operations management, finance management etc.

Hello Sir, I am a bit confused between BBA and CSE. I am a bit interested in BBA rather than CSE. I am afraid if I study BBA will my job be replaced by AI. I will be studying in NSU and I believe I can complete any one of them BBA or CSE but I wanted to enter the corporate field. Could you give me some advice whether I should study BBA especially majoring in Finance?

BBA and CSE are two different worlds. One will make you a coding genius and the other one will make you corporate leader. Considering today’s world I would suggest CSE. But CSE will require previous background in science which o think you have. It would be able to commit to the hard work of studying maths, physics etc? Ask yourself. BBA is an easy choice. With coding skill you can even become a freelancer or tinker ideas for a startup 😀 make your mind!

Do you want to be a corporate leader or a Microbiologist. ask yourself. If you have a science background, then why not choose a specialised area like Microbiology rather than a generic degree like BBA?
