I remember playing a pickup game at the shoemaker center in Cincinnati back in 1999 and some dude from Xavier was making fun of Martins speech impediment, All I can remember from there was Martin going off!! Grabbing every rebound, blocking shots out of the gym and dunking on anyone who got in his way! Dude has freakish strength and will catch you with an elbow if you attempt to jump with him!! PURE BEAST!!
@NatTurnergrandsonChrisdorner Жыл бұрын
Never was a nets fan but kidd and martin were always two of my favorite players. Martin was undersized but an excellent defender but played with so much intensity. I watched him in Cincinnati too. I was happy he was a Knick for a few even though it was later in his career.

It's because now the fines are like $25,000. Back then fines wasn't nearly as much. So fighting today just wouldn't be worth it. It's just not smart for them and plus they aren't all in the paint as much now. Plus the NBA was much, much worse than way before even the 80s and 90s. They used to leave the game bloody from playing in cages. So the even the 80s and 90s wasn't tough compared to them.
