We have to be honest, who's responsible for today's wimpy play? The players of yesterday. All of those fights and players coming off the bench forced the league to apply rules to prevent that physical stuff. We can't blame today's players when all they are doing is following the rules. I think the league should pull back on some of those rules. Honestly, fans want to see physicality and fracases.

Yeah, most 80s/90s looks skinny and lanky, even Shaq and Malone. Yet when they get fouled hard, they get back up right away and chaos ensues. Nowadays, players look more muscular and wider, even PGs, but when they get a hard foul, they act like their limbs got torn.

Maybe not too many remember but Fox couldn't guard Scottie when Rick was with the Celtics and Pip with Chicago. Scottie was way passed his prime with Portland and still took this team to a seven game series and they lost because they couldn't make a basket in the 4th quarter of game seven after leading by 15 or 16 points, that says a lot about his leadership, plus he played against a young Kobe and prime Shaq. The man was a beast.

Yep, blame everyone except Scottie for that game 7 collapse even tho that same Blazers team made it to the WCF vs the Spurs the year before and Rasheed carrying his ass in game 7 scoring 30 points while Scottie choked shooting 3/12 fg while getting his ass busted by Kobe throughout the entire game and series 😂🤣🤡😎.

Peja had a career 19,4 ppg with 47.4% from the field and 41,8% 3pt% against Fox. He was a bum and a fake tough guy as Christie showed when he redecorated his ugly face. @@georgestamatakis697 I will run circles around you with my knowledge of the game. Did I say Rick Fox was better than Peja? No I didn’t, did I say he was a good offensive player? He wasn’t, he wasn’t good at anything offensively except he could get hot from 3 when left wide open all game now and then. On that we agree. What was he good at? Getting under the skin of players and defense. Peja was a major concern for Laker fans and had his way with the Lakers in his young career at the time. Once they met in that series, Rick Fox was a human wet blanket. Peja was absolutely terrible as proven with 39% FG shooting and pathetic 3 pt shooting for the series. Look at the game logs to see just how bad he was. Fox made life miserable for him, and made up for his lousy offense by negating Peja completely. You changed the argument to try to win... that doesn’t work against somebody who knows the game more than you do. Shut down!

I love the 90's Bulls but Scottie Pippen brought all this bullying on himself when he would implode and sabatoge the Bulls teams with his selfishness. Phil Jackson knew he was a huge threat to disrupt the triangle and knew how to exploit that in this series and it worked . The Lakers got in Scotties head and thus affected this series in a huge way....

That Portland team was loaded and Pippen still couldn't get to the Finals. We all know what happened in game 7 of that series when Scottie and Portland choked and bricked their way to a loss blowing a 15 point 4th quarter lead. I'll take a 40 year old Jordan and swap him with Pippen and I bet that Portland doesn't lose that game. Pippen was always a sidekick and was never clutch. LOL!!!

@@davidmoody1235 MJ at that point was a team cancer because he still had the mindset of “Its my team”, even though at that point he was a horrid offensive player in terms of efficiency. He’d have destroyed the Blazers from the inside out being on that roster. The original point has some merit too. While MJ is the GOAT, without Pippen he never did anything, never even came close to doing anything in terms of playoff success. When MJ retired the first time, the Bulls were incredibly competitive winning 55 games without him, and being a horrifying ref call away from beating the Knicks in the playoffs. Plus, if MJs peak Bulls had been around in the era where the Celtics/Lakers/Pistons were still the prime version of themselves, he’d at best have 1 or 2 rings. He took over the league when those great teams faded away, and 4 new expansion teams came into the NBA, further watering it down.
