The greatest news theme in the world, remixed in this glorious version! Very Industrial/EDM vibe to it, love it!

The beebs are called ‘pips’ (the Greenwich time signal or bbc six-pips)-five short beebs and one slightly longer one to signal a new hour. The BBC news used it between 1924-1990 before they changed to a new system. This theme tune has cleverly incorporated them.

It’s the fall of 1999 and I’ve just landed in a sketchy country in the middle of the night. I’ve hired a car to take me from the airport and we drive through hot humid air through streets teeming with people. Colored lights flicker into the back of the car as we snake through honking traffic. Finally we go through a hotel security gate guarded by men with weapons. I check in walk into my marble floored room with two perfectly made four post beds and blasting air conditioning. I turn on the TV and hear this music is playing. I watch and wait to hear if I’m too close to the news. I can close my eyes and remember this like it was yesterday. It was the first time I heard this theme.

Genius. Post-apocalyptic reflection I will overcome rave Mix. Best with headphones/earbuds. Best played when your back is to the wall and you are facing critical challenges, or going for a jog or night driving! Makes us realise how insignificant we are too.

Revisiting. This is brilliant. Arguably one of the best songs written in modern times. ❤

The ending actually belongs to the BBC world news service, bc of its extra two note theme, which doesn't exist for the UK service
