I was 21 when this was aired. I remember listening to his show's and just feeling cheered up by them. A time without mobiles, internet, social media. What a great time it was and never to be repeated. RIP Steve and thanks.

Steve Wright's format was a breath of fresh air. He arrived at Radio 1 1980, within the year he was on a mainstream slot. Steve is awesome, for instance who can you listen to now that you listened to 36 years ago...yes, you got it Steve Wright in the after noon...and I never tire of his voice/show...Mr Steve Wright YOU ARE A LEGEND SIR...long may you continue.

Very spooky…….. This show was aired on the 27th December and was the very day I met a young girl at the local disco in Lyme Regis and here I am on 20th Nov 2022 with the exact same woman asleep on our sofa after nearly 40 years together. Such fabulous memories of my wonderful youth.

Steve Wright in the afternoon was such a large part of my life, listening every day. It’s the perfect tonic when you need a pick me up!😊

Some phenomenal Dj's from this era but this man broke the mould when he came to Radio one with his show, great voice, funny and superb timing!

He had a lovely radio voice. So gentle not like the new presenters who shout down the microphone.

Quite simply the best

I like this style of Radio 1, when Matthew Bannister and his selfish sidekick Trevor Dann came in, I moved to Radio 2. I wasn't prepared to listen to the crap they brought in
