Think about it, without Marian attemptin to kill the sherrif than she wouldnt have gone to the holy land, and wouldnt have convinced Allan to go and get Robin. Robin wouldnt have found out about everything quick enough to actually get there to save the king and marry Marian! Their entire lives were about sacrificing themselves to save England. It was somethin that was unfortunate but happened. I feel bad for robin in the 3rd season, he gave up so much, and in return his true love was killed!!:(
