Brugge or Gent? The answer is both! They are both great places with unique architecture.

As a native of Gent I can tell you that so-called rivalry is in the past. Now it doés still exist but only in soccer.;-) Both cities are beautiful but as that guide said Brugge is dead, there's nothing to do , here in Gent almost every week there's a show, a concert, something for everyone and full of students who know Brugge has got nothing to offer. They just care about getting as much money from the tourists as possible as fast as they can, here in Gent you just relax and enjoy your stay. There's too much too see for 1 day. I didn't even know there are so many chocolate shops in Brugge. That is not the case in Gent, there are some but you must look for them. Our dragon is our "protector", that's a story, a legend but it's not golden, it's copper. But a rivalry? That's a story that some may use or abuse because of jealousy.
