@Rex Butt It would seem the police should watch you more closely since you're so supportive of cocaine use and your support of the murderous drug cartels. Personally I've never touched cocaine in my life. It's an extremely dangerous and addictive drug. How you want to harm your own life is one thing, but your public support of the illegal use of cocaine only adds to the hell of the millions of people living in misery because of its use and the harm done by the murderous drug cartels that supply it. Your complete lack of concern for your suffering fellow humans is extremely shameful and cowardly.

I always felt the pain he has hidden behind that cheerful attitude, his face and especially his eyes always seemed to scream for help to me. That's why i always thought his attempts at making comedy material and make people laugh were too forced on him, and in turn never made me laugh at a single joke he tells , cause i was too busy feeling sad for him. My favorite rolls of him are when he was sincere and in heartfelt scenes, he really shined the brightest in them.

Can you even IMAGINE being asked to do the Mrs. Doubtfire impression to Robin Williams IN PERSON?!? Being a Brit, the accent was obviously genuine and spot on and it was obvious that Robin was impressed with the presentation. That man in the audience will forever have a priceless memory of being asked by a world leader in comedy, in person, to imitate a line he had in a movie. When "stars" behave so normal and interact with their audience with such ease, it cements their popularity in ways arrogant "stars" will never know. In fact, being one-of-the-boys in an interview exposes the real you to where people get to know the person they like and it makes your liking that celebrity that much more. They become a real person, not someone plastic.

@@kakap0788 While he did have a terminal illness and that contributed largely to his death, Robin Williams did battle depression for many years. There's no shame in that at all. Depression is a real and horrible disease suffered by many people and takes guts to live with. Imagine you're at the concert of a favourite artist that you've been waiting to see for months. Everyone is dancing and excited and singing. And you know intellectually that you should feel just like them. Yet, all you feel is an overwhelming sadness and emptiness instead. And you look at all the happy people, and that just makes you feel angry at yourself. That you're robbed of feeling that way. That you're deficient. And instead, all you can think about is how pointless everything is and how alone you are in the world. But you don't want to make others feel the way you do. So you pretend everything is okay, even if it feels like the world is ending. That's what depression is like. The more we normalise accepting and talking openly about mental health problems, the less people have to suffer in silence. Even though Robin Williams didn't commit suicide just due to depression, it's a tragedy that he had to suffer so much alone. And that he always put on a happy facade for the public even when he was suffering. It's also a tragedy that it took his terrible death for his legacy and all the good he did to be felt.

Stephen Ryan I know what you mean. I once saw him on Jonathan Ross and they were going to play a type of "wheel of fortune" game and the wheel would land on a character that Robin would then portray. Right before the game started, the camera showed a close up of Robin and you could see so much pain and sadness in his eyes. It nearly broke my heart. That said, the only time he seemed happy and relaxed (to me anyway) was when he was with Craig Ferguson. Especially right after he married Susan. He guested on TLLS with Craig and you could tell he was having a great time and looked genuinely happy. 😊

I know how you feel. Robin Williams always had these demons, but that's why he loved comedy so much. He knew other people had problems of their own and if a joke or impression can make you forget that, even for a moment, then he had done what he set out to to. Don't ever feel bad for laughing at one of Robin's videos or routines. He lived for this and this would be how he'd want people to remember him. God it breaks my heart to know how depressed Robin was. I've battled it most of my own life but have a family who I don't know if they'd be sad or just pissed off if I finally decided enough was enough. I heard something earlier tonight that made sense. It's not luck that you've survived, you're lucky because you've been able to survive what you didn't think you could. Something close to that anyway.

Aww, I miss Robin so much. He played many memorable movie roles. He made a couple of my absolute favorite movies. He wasnt just a funny and great actor, he was a great considerate person too, which many have described after his death. He was humble and wasnt like many of these famous people who just want to be known as a humanitarian because it is sort of a trendy thing amongst rich people to be considered as such. I whished he was still amongst us. 😢
