I feel the need to do a mini history lesson to clarify what the actual shit was happening in the Gorb argument. The Soviet Union (USSR) backed China and North Korea during the Korean War ( though they did not engage directly in the conflict to as great an extent as China or North Korea) the leader of the Soviet Union during the majority of the Korean War was Josef Stalin, he was the person who prolonged the Korean War by pressuring his Allies to continue it. When he died he was replaced by Georgy Malenkov who successful brought a cease fire to the Korean War in June of 1953. Meanwhile Gorbachev took office as Soviet Premier in 1985 and was the man who was responsible for the decommunization of the Soviet Union and was the last Soviet leader as it collapsed during his premiership on December 25th 1991. Also the Berlin Wall fell during his time in office in 1989. Also I don’t get why people say the Korean War isn’t a part of the Cold War. It was a war between Communist and Capitalist forces and involved the two major superpowers, the U.S and USSR fighting each other via proxy, with only one side sending their own military personnel to fight, as can be seen in Vietnam or the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. Anyways I feel like I wrote too much so I gotta go and eat the gravel in a parking lot now.
