It’s birthday time for our host Will! This episode is all about the verb ‘will’. That little modal verb that does so much! There will be singing, games and jokes galore - whether the contestants want them or not! Will our contestants survive? Will Will have a good birthday? Did Leslie get him a birthday present? What is the difference between going to happen and likely to happen?

Hi Sunkara, Normally we wouldn't answer a question that isn't relevant to this programme in these comments. However, in this case: Very briefly - both going to happen and likely to happen can be used to talk about future predictions. The choice between them depends on the confidence of the speaker. If the speaker feels very confident about something happening in the future, they would probably use going to happen. If the person is less confident, they would use likely to happen. Both are stronger than 'it might happen', which is more of a 50/50 feeling. We hope this answers your question.

I think Will very crazy and funny. As a suggestion, the BBC Learning English could put a strong man and a woman as participants. I wanted to see Will having this arrogance. LOL
