I love this song. I'm 66 years young now and my son got me hooked on The Killers. I've always been a big fan of The Pet Shop Boys and I got my son hooked on all the 80's bands I love. My son, my wife and myself are going to see the Pet Shop Boys along with New Order in September of this year. We can't wait.

@@danielpurkiss4181 Not just that. The body changes over the years and so do all your vocal organs. I don't mean only the vocal chords (which are basically muscles) but also everything on the way. Singing is a very physical thing so it's normal that it changes along with your body. I don't mean to say that people's voices always get worse with time, but just different. His seems to be exactly the same and that's what I find so remarkable.

Brandon looks absolutely in awe at the start when Neil is singing, just shows no matter how long hes been around now he still gets to live dreams performing with superstars he grew up listening to, what a combination, love the 2 of them I never would have imagined them onstage together. I have always loved this song. Having watched All of Us Strangers, my interpretation off the lyrics have changed. It's become less about a selfish lover with regret, but a dead mother missing her boy. Watch that film, it's a masterpiece.

My teen years were spent listening to the pet shop boys and my earliest childhood memories are of Elvis singing the original version of this song on my parents parents records. So beautiful to see this now. The killers and the Pet Shop Boys uniting generations of music lovers.

Love the Pet Shop Boys 💖 saw them some time ago in Sydney...PERFECTION!!! I was standing right up the front with my daughter and he was right there in front of us. Most of us were mature fans so there was no shoving and every one was so well behaved. At one point during the light show I said to my daughter...turn around. We saw a sea of men under twinkling lights enjoying themselves. Was an amazing night, one of the best shows I've been to.

p.s. unusually LOW number of hates/dislikes, i.e. only 560 out of 31K - that's way low. Typically it's one 'hate' for every eight likes - meaning this SHOULD have received (by default)... -Almost 4,000 hates. Very unusual.

Esta canción ha sido versionada muchas veces. El primer lanzamiento fue en marzo de 1972 por Gwen McCrae. Aunque la primera grabación fue de Brenda Lee, esta fue publicada de segunda, en junio de 1972. Y en octubre de ese mismo año fue publicada la versión del popular Elvis Presley. Quizá la versión más popular en las últimas décadas, la de Pet Shop Boys de 1987.
