This entire concert was one of the most beautiful moments in music history. Tragedy brings people together, and this was another example of that. I remember watching this on the BBC at the time, like millions of others. Even now, an anthem like Don’t Look Back in Anger is so powerful, and that’s why it was chosen 🐝❤️

[Verse 1] Slip inside the eye of your mind Don't you know you might find A better place to play? You said that you'd never been But all the things that you've seen They slowly fade away [Pre-Chorus] So I start a revolution from my bed Cause you said the brains I had went to my head Step outside, summertime's in bloom Stand up beside the fireplace Take that look from off your face Cause you ain't ever gonna burn my heart out [Chorus] And so, Sally can wait She knows it's too late as we're walking on by Her soul slides away But don't look back in anger I heard you say [Verse 2] Take me to the place where you go Where nobody knows if it's night or day Please don't put your life in the hands Of a rock'n'roll band Who'll throw it all away [Pre-Chorus] I'm gonna start a revolution from my bed Cause you said the brains I had went to my head Step outside, the summertime's in bloom Stand up beside the fireplace Take that look from off your face Cause you ain't ever gonna burn my heart out [Chorus] And so, Sally can wait She knows it's too late as she's walking on by My soul slides away But don't look back in anger I heard you say [Chorus] So, Sally can wait She knows it's too late as we're walking on by Her soul slides away But don't look back in anger I heard you say So, Sally can wait She knows it's too late as she's walking on by My soul slides away But don't look back in anger Don't look back in anger I heard you say [Outro] At least not today

Eugene J Ariana was in the title because it was her night. The people died at her show so this was her way of handling it. She did great all throughout the show so if she didn't necessarily put all her energy into this one song then I forgive her. Johnny played the solo the exact way as the original recording, nothing impressive about that. If anything I think the Manchester crowd made this performance amazing. Nothing beats singing Oasis with just about the entirety of Manchester singing along.

You should check out the first two Oasis albums mate, Definitely Maybe and What's The Story Morning Glory. They are unbelievably good. To be honest their Bside collection The Masterplan is amazing too... Songs like Masterplan, Acquiesce, Talk Tonight, Half The World Away are better then most bands best songs. Oasis 97 album Be Here Now was universally praised at the time, but even now Noel hates it! 😂 It's got some amazing songs on it like Stand By Me, Dyou Know What I Mean?, Don't Go Away and the title track.... This song is Oasis, which was basically two brothers, liam and noel. Noel wrote all the music and words and sometimes sang. This song was their first single with Noel on vocals. It's an amazing song and video. First time I seen them was 97 and hour before the show Liam pulled out so Noel had to sing (this was Dublin, weird because even though they are born and raised in Manchester their parents are Irish and they usually give a lot to irish gigs) but it was AMAZING! He really made up for it and gave it loads... Sorry about the rant there Ben, but those two albums are incredible and songs like Live Forever, The Masterplan, Champagne Supernova, Don't Look Back In Anger, Whatever, Some Might Say.... Mate... Just give your ears a treat and check them out! All the best from 🇮🇪 Ben And you are right about uniting the country. There are huge Irish communities in Manchester, Liverpool nd London. My sister lived in Manchester at the time... I was in London at the 07/07/05 bombs... These cowardly scumbags have such a problem with women being free and independent and people having fun they attack a venue with young girls, pre teens most of them? And somehow that makes them men... Ridiculous. I still remember hearing about 9/11, I was in a part time job before college started... We are 5 hrs ahead so... We couldn't believe it. Again... Huge 🇮🇪 community in NYC... I love the place... All the flack America gets for wars and all... But you lads get in there, you bring the heat and your bravest and finest sacrifice their lives so we stay free and stuff like this is not left unpunished. 🇮🇪 ♥ 🇺🇸 I love how Ariana brought this together and we all forgot our silly differences and arguments and celebrated unity. We really need more nights like this.

@@mccarthy5825 That is great info! Those two albums definitely sound worth owning. Yes, I agree that for that group of attackers being cowards. Going after defenseless people and those just out to have a good time. I went to NYC in 2015 for the second time and it was so much fun. There's really no other city like it. Glad to know we have strong allies across the pond! Cheers!

@@benkelley6561 you are more than welcome Ben mate 👍 hope you enjoy the music. Always a good thing to share music IMO. It's the universal language. Crosses all boundaries. Cowards is right and it really brings down a lot of negativity on the regular, peaceful, decent Muslims. But something like this really brings people together and shows us how some empathy, compassion and kindness can do wonders. Always welcome in this country and city too Ben 👍 ☺

The thing I love most about the concept of this concert was that it's such a Mancunian way of honoring a tradgedy - 'you've tried to disrupte our way of life, so we're gonna have a party' - it's more powerful than any number of minute silences, national anthems or speeches could have ever been in my opinion!

"Nero fiddled while Rome burned". I don't find it powerful at all. Quite frankly, it's a pathetic and sad indictment of a once proud people who have descended into decadence and nihilism, and are terrified to assert themselves even in the face of existential danger. What about the next time they 'distrupt' our way of life, will we have another party then too? Or how about the time after that, or the time after that? How many parties do you need to have before you wake up and realise we are at war and actually need to do something about it?
