China's Chang'e-6 lunar probe has returned to Earth with the first ever samples from the Moon's unexplored far side.
The probe landed in the Inner Mongolia desert on Tuesday, after a nearly two-month long mission that was fraught with risks.
Scientists believe samples could answer key questions about how planets are formed.
China is the only country to achieve the technically challenging feat of landing on the far side of the Moon, having done so before in 2019.

Modernity and the future are defined by all mankind, all nations and peoples. China's success has shattered the civilisational determinism/centrism/exceptionalism of some countries. There is no longer any dominance of the world by the powerful because of the "Manifest Destiny", and the value of the "advanced" conquering the "barbaric" has been discarded.

Fun Fact: China first landed on the Far Side of the Moon on January 3rd 2019. The YUTU-2 Rover from the Chang'e 4 Mission is still performing research on the far side. The Yutu-2 has verified the Moon's sub-surface is full of caves, caverns. look up China's Chang'e Lunar Program. They have achieved a lot already. Basically they are on Chang'e 7. China currently has been testing and equipping the Far Side of the Moon Base (Relay Satellites, Rovers-Research, etc). They returned the samples because the Chang'e 8 mission is China will use the Lunar Soil to 3D Print a Building. FUN FACT: US has the Artemis Program that Competes with China's Chang'e Program. US has completed Artemis 1 which was taking the rocket into Earth Orbit to verify it can work.

The moon’s essentially just a barren, atmosphere-free rock. However, my favourite thing about it has always been how in a solar eclipse it fits *exactly* over the sun (from Earth’s perspective) as if one were placing a 10p on a 10p. Why? It’s all thanks to a striking coincidence. The sun is about 400 times as wide as the moon, but it is also 400 times further away. If you didn’t know any better, you’d almost think someone, or something, had planned it that way. 🤔 🌝
